THIS SPLINT.....
Is exactly what I expected, I've been a quadriplegic since 1980 [41 yrs]. I've always used this style of splint for day time wear n they have been very durable, this is only the 3rd time I've had to order them, they give ample support to my wrist. n the metal bar allows u to adjust to fit ur needs. My only disappointment with this company, n others that I've researched, is that they aren't selling these splints in pairs, that should at least b an option, AND to make matters worse this company only had the ''right'' hand splint available! My 2nd concern is the color, there should b options of colors to match our skin tone! No one I believe wants to draw attention to our need to wear these splints, we get enough stares already. lol

Good but could be better.
The product should be enhanced with cushioning to protect your skin from the rough strapping leading to skin breakdown damage.

i hope amzon does not reject this one
I only had to purchase a pair of these wrist supports from Sammon & Preston about every five years for the first 20 years since I became paralyzed. For those 20 years I would have given them 5 stars because the quality was good and the product was well-manufactured. However, for the last nine plus years, the quality and manufacturing has deteriorated greatly. The last two I bought that I began using only 2 months ago are both broken. The left wrist support's metal spine rubbed though the 'fake " leather or whatever the material is, and left a nasty pressure sore on the back of my hand measuring about the size of a half dollar. The right support's strap will no longer stay fastened for no longer than 10 minutes because of the poor Velcro, and the thread began to tear out on several places. Others purchased prior to these, would last only a few months before the metal spine would slide out or simply break, and again, those threads tore out as well. What became even more noticeable was that over time the metal spine in the newer wrist braces I have ordered in the last 9 years or so, became smaller and more flimsy where before it was quite strong and could sustain a lot of wear. For awhile I would call Sammon & Prestin and have them send replacements. After 2 replacements in less than a year's time, they stated they would have to refund my money but would not send replacements, so I decided to try and find more reliable wrist braces without success. I depend greatly on these wrist supports to eat, type on a computer and dial a phone. It is very frustrating and saddening that this company now has these faltering pieces of shit. Unfortunately, they are the only ones I can find, and I am stuck with them until I can find another place to buy quality wrist supports that I can rely on to help my life .If anyone knows of any place I can order better wrist supports please let me know. I would not give these supports even one star unless I had to. I would greatly suggest for Amazon to quit selling garbage like this . I have been a faithful customer of Amazon for many years, and if they keep selling garbage like this, I will not utilize their ordering site any longer. Additionally, I advise other quads to not purchase these wrist supports.
