This is ***NOT*** a Maglight if that's what you're used to

So I've had this flashlight in the house for a while now to replace the irritating four D-cell Maglight that I thought for years put me in the top of high end flashlights, LOL. Seriously, family (and probably the neighbors) are now irritated with ME showing them how crazy bright this flashlight is. I won't talk about how you can substitute regular batteries (haven't even tried them) when inevitably you'll need them in a prolonged outage, but it's not called "tactical" for nothing. Our house borders on a thick forrest, and from my deck, I can see anything within a hundred yards with extreme clarity. I'm talking about picking someone out of a lineup lol. Highly recommended if you've only owned a garden variety flashlight in your life, like me! I'm sure there are even higher end flashlights, but I'm just as sure this is all you'll need for "civilian" use.

Awesome flashlight

I love this lamp. In particular I really like that it came with the rechargeable batteries and it is super bright. I mostly use this when going outdoors. It is way too bright to use anywhere near the house. It will completely mess with your eyes’ adjusted to the dark, so I prefer to use it where there isn’t something that will bounce the light back (e.g., a wall or brush). I didn’t like that it only came with one intensity function out of the box. I hear one can program the thing, but who has the time to mess with it?! Overall a very handy lamp, but I still have a smaller one handy ‘cause this one is too bright.

Not dependable.

This seemed like a great light. Bright, felt good in the hand but after using it, it's not very dependable. I would go to use it and nothing. I'd bang it in my hand, switch on and off. Nothing. Switch the batteries around and it would work, same batteries just switch the order. I could see hearing something at night and having to fool around with this thing to get it to work. I've got quite a few Streamlight products and I love them, they all work great. Just not this one.

If you want the toughest and brightest light for its size then you want this one, I own many tactical lights but this Streamlight is the absolute workhorse of them all, buy it now

This flashlight is freaking awesome! It’s a good size and the frickin light is the brightest thing around. Nobody on my shift has a brighter flashlight than mine. I’m a deputy that works night shift in unincorporated/bumf*ck county areas. This light is epic for searching canyons. Epic for lighting up an entire street. You ain’t missing nothing with this flashlight. It’s a ridiculously good flashlight. The only negative is that you have to remove the batteries to charge it. But honestly, that hasn’t been an issue for me. I usually just charge it when I get off shift. I can usually go a whole work week without having to charge it. But I will charge the batteries if I was using the light for a good amount of time the night before. It says the brightest mode last two hours. Again, I’ve never had my flashlight dim on me during the shift. i used to recharge the batteries after every shift, but now I only charge them after every wot week. For me 3 or 4 days. I saw someone give a negative review cuz they said the batteries died when not using it. I can confidently say that is not the case. I had the battery fully charged and then went on baby leave. I was gone for 6 weeks on leave. When I was getting all my gear ready for when I was going back to work, the battery was still full. Or at least the light was still at its brightest. When the battery does start to dim, it can last for many more hours on the dim setting, which is still like 1000 lumens. This is your flashlight. Get it now. If you’re looking for as bright as you can, this is it. The only negative is taking the batteries out for charging. But I’m telling you, that is not an issue.

The media could not be loaded. Antes de comenzar es muy importante no alumbrar directamente a los ojos tanto en animales como en humanos, puede causar ceguera temporal y la exposición continua al haz de luz podría dejar secuelas permanentes. Excelente alcance en modo alto con los 3500 lúmenes de salida, el haz de luz es bastante caliente por lo que se recomienda no acercar la mano al lente, trae dos baterías de iones de litio tipo 18650 de 2600 mAh, un cable USB con doble salida micro USB para cargar ambas baterías simultáneamente. La calidad del material es excelente, se siente premium y robusto, chulada de linterna capaz de alumbrar toda una casa recuerda si la apuntas al techo, altamente recomendable sin la menor duda. Actualización: al parecer el aparato ya tenía alguna falla interna que provocó que dejara de funcionar a los 15 días de uso, a pesar de eso dejo las 5 estrellas porque si volveré a comprarla en cuanto haya una mejor oferta, la marca es de fiar.

Light switch for the outdoors

This Streamlight HL5X is a big heavy outdoor torch but very nice when you want a bigger light. High 3500 lumen setting offers the ability to light up the night like a high beam. 250 lumen low setting is most used setting with great runtime compared to a 250 lumen pocket or duty light. To me this is the best part of a big light like this, but high setting is nice to quickly scan a dark area. USB rechargeable batteries work very well and I like that I can also use CR123 lithium primarys for extreme cold or emergency use. Beam is more of a flood pattern imo but with the power and candela it has still very good throw. Obviously on high batteries drain quickly. Could maybe be better paired with 2 3500 mAh 18650s instead of the 2 2600 mAh SL-B26 included if you wanted to be picky about something to improve. Overall excellent big light!

Buen producto

Muy bueno el producto aunque no quede completamente sitisfecho debido que en la descripción del producto que se muestra en inglés hace mención que en su funcion (alto) tiene una distancia de iluminación de entre 385-452 mts. Lo cual no es así, quizá más de 100 mts si los ilumina ya que la proyección de luz la hace en modo flood y no es spot porque no trae para ajustar la luz.

Tiene una excelente iluminción. Buenísimo el detalle de las pilas recargables y tienen buena duración. Se nos fue la luz en una casa y la colocamos al centro del comedor (hacia arriba) y nos dió luz como si tuviéramos focos. Nos salvó la noche

Excelente producto, calidad indiscutible. Poder extraordinario en el haz de luz. Confiable y robusta. Solo para profesionales que desean lo mejor en equipos. Las baterías de ion litio se recargan por usb. La recomiendo ampliamente.
