Fit of the size Small

I am 5'7" and 140 pounds and a 31 inch waist in most pants. The size Small Stanfield's Long John is the right length and fits well on the legs, but the waistband is a little tight.

Weird cut

I assume this is made for a human, but the crotch only makes sense if you have elephantiasis. Or dress like it is 1912 and you pull you pants to your armpits.

SO SO WARM! WARMEST THING I OWN NOW

So overwhelmingly what needs to be stated is that this is true heat gear. Very, very warm. Serious stuff. Warmest thing I own. I do not heat my house in the winter and never an issue at any temperature wearing this garment. I have many, many other brands of expensive base layers and this is hands-down the warmest. It's far and away warmer, no close comparison. Wish I could afford more pairs :-) :-) but I was not born with the trust fund that would be required to afford more of these. Quite worth the money though, especially if you were considering it next to expensive boutique-adventure-brands.

Who designs this?

I am new to the Canadian winter and thought to get a pair of Long Johns. Now....I appreciated if someone enlightens me how to wear these. Am I supposed to drag the pants all the way up to my nipples? Or are there indeed men who have their private parts dangling down around their knees?? I mean....who designs these pants??? Google "male anatomy" for Christ's sake!

They're the best, BUT....

I've been buying these for years and I consider them of excellent quality, and they're made in Canada which fits my buying choices. I don't buy anything but Stanfield's for my underwear and longjohns. The quality just can't be beat. Now for the "but"... If you're 30 - 36 waist the mediums fit great (that's me over the years), but the large are a LOT bigger than the mediums. I bought the large size for my son, 6' 2", 36 waist and about 190lbs-ish (compared to my 5' 10") and they reach halfway up to between his nipples and his bellybutton. The mediums are just a little too small for him, but he swims around in the large.

Comfort and warmth for the working man

I am 187cm 250,lbs the xl fit great and i wear a 38-42 pants.. they are a good base layer for high arctic you may need to spend more but doubt it. Ya they sit higher and leave room for the junk. These are long enough for people who have long legs. The right shape for the working man.

Not what I expected

The material is very soft and comfortable , but it's not any warmer than other cheaper brands.I thought they would be a little thicker.I wore them in minus 15 degrees and didn't see any difference than my other inexpensive thermals! OH well i had to see what the fuss was all about these from the reviews. Very disappointed. And for the price it's not worth it!

THE BEST LONG UNDERWEAR

You can't beat Stanfield's for quality and comfort. The finest Merino Wool long underwear that I have ever purchased. Well worth the money! Great to see that Stanfield's are made in Canada. Will definitely purchase only Stanfield's in the future. Nothing else comes close to their quality products.
