Good solid product

Installed 2 of these on the outside of my porch. Cosmetically they blend in with the color of the house & porch. Very solid & sturdy. Like the individual covers. Very functional.

Quality material but note the opening.

Decent quality gasket and metal and it comes in white! However, as another person noted, the spring loaded metal doors do not open all the way. They open up to 90% which works for me as the power cord is not too thick.

Solidly made, simple trick to help with installation

Solid cover that should work well and last a long time. One frustration with installing it is it's very awkward to try holding open both spring covers while positioning and tightening the screw. Figured out a simple trick that worked like a charm. Use toothpicks to prop open the covers. See photo. Hope this helps someone else.

Not compatible with GFCI outlets

Outlet cover appears to be well made, has nice heavy spring to them with a good seal and weather gasket is provided. Bad thing is the Electrical Code requires GFCI protection for outdoor outlets, so unless the circuit is provided with a GFCI breaker, then you need to install a GFCI type outlet, which this cover is not compatible with! Maybe use them in the garage or shop where you want the outlet protected from dust.
