Not the great fit hoped for.. Large is LARGE!

If you don't like your swimwear slightly saggy, please size down. I have a size 32 waist and 43 hips, bought large and only my hips are keeping these on. I was hoping for a fit that had the inner panty fitting comfortably, and given that the fabric is stretchy, the waist would hold the panty, (and by that token, the shorts), in place. No such luck! Large panties in a large pair of shorts that I fear will slip and sag in the water. I gave four stars because they are good quality, very well made, beautifully cut and should be very modest but flattering if you manage to hit the jackpot with sizing. I'll keep them, (because I do like them and don't have the luxury of returning) and wear them very carefully. If they fail the wear-in-the-water test by slipping from my waist and bunching down I'll just have to count my losses and toss them. The perils of online shopping! Edit - March 27, 2020: Re-ordered the black in these in Medium and they fit perfectly! Size down for a smooth fit.

Stays in place, doesn't "creep up" as you move. I like that it has brief style under the shorts, most women's swim shorts dont do that and you can feel exposed if you know what I mean! I have 3 pairs of these, just added blue which I love. 133 lbs, got a medium.

Quality board shorts

While these were on the "pricey" side for swim shorts; I think they are worth it and is proof you get what you paid for. Very well constructed and are a modest fit for someone older like myself, while still looking sporty and cute. I'm in my 60's, 5'3" weigh 126 #'s and I bought a medium. I'm sure I could have ordered a small, as the medium is slightly too big, didn't want my muffin top to be enhanced by a tight fit. If you have an athletic build with no bulges definitely go for a smaller size. I ordered two more pair today in teal and black.

I really love them and bought a second pair. I would say if you are not sure of the size go toward the smaller size.
