Entry knob doesn’t automatically unlock sometimes

I’ve been using this keyed entry knob for a couple of years now, and it has a feature where if the button is turned (locked) and you try to open the door from the inside, it’s supposed to unlock automatically, so you can get out quickly without fiddling with the button. Except if you don’t turn the knob all the way, you can still open the door without unlocking it, and you can lock yourself out. Sometimes I don’t bother unlocking from the inside because I expect it to automatically unlock but it doesn’t. I end up locking myself out more frequently than I would otherwise. Also, when my dad visited he was accustomed to testing that the knob was locked after turning the button, but in this case, he couldn’t do that from the inside because it only locks from the outside. Everything else about the knob is great. I wish this feature either worked better or they offered a similar knob without it.

High quality

High quality. Took about 10 minutes to install. Bought 2 more of same product. Going to replace another 4 keyed units as soon as I can figure out how to use same key for all.

A bit darker

The doorknob is a bit darker than the rest of my oil rubbed bronze accents pieces like my faucets and light fixture but my wife and I still love it. Brings the bathroom that much more together. Easy to install. No issues. Will buy again for the rest of the room doors at a later time.

Good Quality, Medium Grade Lockset

The Schlage F10 and 716 16-080 10-027 Andover Hall and Closet Knob and Bed and Bath Knob, Aged Bronze are of good quality, for the price. The knobs feel secure and the mechanism's return springs are adequate. All the locksets (5) we received are of consistent quality and color. Exposed surfaces of the hardware as well as the screws are color matched. The 'distressing' feature on the edges of the 'Aged Bronze' color is slightly less than pictured (see comparison image). We ordered multiples of these to replace 20+ year old Weiser 'brass' hardware. It's easy to note that dimensions of some of the parts have changed over those years, or possibly aren't standardized across manufacturers(?) The included Strike Plates and Latches have rounded edges versus square corners on my older ones. Also, some dimensions are up to 1mm less than the older hardware, making for gaps that were previously covered by the older hardware (see image). My biggest disappointment with these and my reason for rating at 4 stars is the surface finish. It is rougher than I expected. Other reviewers have described it as 'textured'. It's difficult to believe this level of finish quality was the intent since other manufacturers' household hardware in this color, such as cabinetry knobs/pulls, faucets, window latches all have 'glass like' finishes. These are not even close. It's my hope that this finish ages gracefully since our sole reason for replacing our old hardware was to follow current design and color trends. Ours is an old farm house, so my observations aren't deal breakers for us. For those that can't accept these, my assumption is that you will be shopping at a higher grade level of door hardware.

Solid door knob goes well with a vintage or craftsman look

I am reno-ing a 100 year old Craftsman home, with lots of stained wood/oak. These look great and this is a good solid brand. I got bronze ones,

Schlage Addison collection

These door knobs are very impressive. Heavy construction. I chose Polished Chrome with square detailed plate/ rosette. It works perfectly with our shaker doors in our home Reno. I’ve researched so many styles and prices. Almost overwhelming. Some brands have been shockingly expensive. I put my style in my wish list on Amazon and they found these for me! Love this amason feature. Thank you so much Amazon for helping me with huge home Reno. Thank you Schlage for creating a beautiful door knob that not only is pretty, but is heavy duty, functional, doesn’t break the bank without sacrificing style. Highly recommend this door knob.
