Good
Wasn’t the size I needed (my fault) but the overall product was good. They aren’t uncomfortable and feel sturdy.

Great for teachers!
These are by far my favorite ballet shoe! I teach 13 classes a week and go through three or four pairs a year. The Juliet used to come with the elastics unsewn (as shown in the photo Amazon provides), but for the past year or so they come attached. The attached elastic fits my feet well, but I've heard other dancers with high arches have problems with how tight they are. I have regular looking arches but the shape of this shoe makes my feet look much prettier than they are! The drawstring is incredibly long- maybe twice as long as they need to be! Before this shoe I'd never done this before, but now I cut about eight inches off the drawstring before I knot it. I try to be as careful with my shoes as possible; I avoid wearing them on anything other than dance floor and spot clean them if I get the tops dirty. Generally around the time they start looking by grey and dusty I wear a hole in big toe. Once I have a small tear in the toe I can only get about two weeks out of the shoe. Once the hole gets to be the size of a pencil eraser it ends up gaping open pretty quickly. I've never found the perfect tights to match the color of these shoes, even with Capezio brand tights. It's not a huge problem (as evidenced by the fact that I keep being the same thing), but it can be frustrating for recitals and level grading.

Came pre-sewn... issues in pictures.
Despite the product being listed as unsewen, these shoes came pre-sewn (and tacked with glue!). Why, you ask, would I knock stars down for this? Well, I want to sew them in the place that best flatters my instep. These elastics were *not* pre-sewn in the correct position ... not for my feet, and I presume, not for many people's anatomy unless your arch is closer to your toes than your heel. I seam ripped and re-did them and the fit is much better, as seen in the attached photos. I am street shoe 7. The 7.5Reg were too snug. I re-ordered 7.5Wide (an 8 would have left me gaping fabric at the heel). I have never worn a "wide" shoe in my 25 years of dancing but these feel fine. I also have doubts about authenticity as Capezios. Should have known better than to order on Amazon but I wanted them fast. Will update after a few ballet classes. (I'm an ex-professional taking adult recreational classes.)

Size UP from street size
I'm a size 11 normally and got the 11 but it was too small so you should size up from your normal size. I did like the adjustable elastic ribbon. I'm going to wear the stelle canvas shoes instead even though their largest size is a 10 it fit me and has more color variety for darker skin. It was also wider. I wish capezio accommodated larger shoe sizes and more skin tones considering how popular a brand it is.

Great Fit but Doesn't Match Product Description
I really love how fitted and comfortable the Juliets are. The material is so breathable and came in a colour that's closer to white than it is to pink. And yes, it does feel like a sock! I especially love the idea of a seamless arch! It really does hug your instep and show off your arch, no matter how low. However, the Juliets weren't able to fully function since the shoes came pre-sewn! The description said they would only be sewn at the heels so that you can sew the front as you wish. I was disappointed, and was forced to redo the sewing. However, after you sewed them properly, these shoes are definitely beautiful! Also, these shoes seem to run a little small. I would suggest that you order a full size up from your street size (I did, and it fit me perfectly!). However, it may be best to just measure your foot's length and consult the "sizing info" next to the size dropdown box. A chart will pop up showing the size and length of the shoe so you'll know exactly how long the shoe is. There's also one more problem: the canvas covering the elastic drawstring seemed a bit rough and if you tied the elastics too tight, the canvas would rub against your skin (and especially your Achilles heel!). But what's ballet without a little pain?

Not the same canvas as my previous pair
I had a pair of canvas Capezio Juliets purchased several years ago which wore out and I bought these to replace them. They are absolutely NOT like the previous pair. This canvas has no stretch at all and the fit seems to be at least half a size smaller, if not possibly a full size smaller. I wear 7.5 street show and ordered an 8 and could barely get them on. Very surprising there was no stretch to the canvas. Strongly recommend going up a full size from your street shoe size even if you previously didn't need to.

Buy 1 full size up
I am normally a US size 6.5 W or 7 M in shoes. I bought these in an 8 W. At first, I thought they were too large because I can insert a finger into the heel. However, after jumping around a bit in class, your feet swell up and it's important that you can fully extend your toes. I'm puzzled at why people would buy these shoes really snug to try to stretch them. Seems like they'll get a hole super fast. As your feet sweat, they sort of conform and stick to your arches. These are a comfortable ballet flat even if they don't have a large forefoot pad like Bloch Performa for balancing. The canvas is soft and does not cause blisters. I find the suede soles are great for gripping the floor when you need it eg. long lunges. I use these for Les Mills Barre class.

Nice starter slipper-wide width is still pretty narrow
Authentic Capezio. Fits small as per manufacturers website. Sized up one from street shoe and went with wide fit. 11.5w. My feet have flat arches, I supinate and my metatarsals are much broader post children and I’m fairly compressive in tendu. Purchased for adult ballet. Toes definitely touch in Demi plié (without distortion) and the width is maxed out. Elastic conforms the fabric well to foot but canvas does not easy stretch. Haminis would likely be my next shoe as I progress but this is a good starter slipper for someone in reintroductions or beginner classes. Word of caution for taller women like myself, if your width exceeds 10cm you may find this far too confining and difficult to break in.

Fakes
These are not capezio. I’ve done ballet for 20+ years and know how ballet slippers work, how they should look, and how they should feel. Aside from being way too small and tight, the inside of these shoes is a fuzzy fleece material??? Ballet slippers are cloth or leather/suede. Not fleece. Who wants to dance with soaking wet sweat feet?! Unreal. Returned and got my money back no problem.
