Soft, comfortable but hardly no arch support

I purchased these same Rocket Dog shoes (black) from DSW years ago and loved them so much, I wore them year round! These, however, are not quite the same. They still have the soft and comfortable fabric and look great on my feet, but the heel is a bit higher and there’s hardly any arch support. I was literally dragging the shoes as I walked in them and developed a corn on one of my baby toes. My original order I sized up to a 10, but exchanged them for my regular size 9.5. Still uncomfortable, but I decided not to return them. Now that my corn has finally healed, I'm wearing them with non-slip/grip Pilates socks (over my trouser socks) and can wear them every day now! I ordered another pair in brown. Also, I actually like that the heel is higher. I wore them while cleaning 2 inches of snow from the driveway and my socks never got wet. :-)

Ok but not great

I had a pair of these some years back and enjoyed them. These are built a little differently and aren’t as comfortable. The inner shearling on the old ones extended out and sort of around the the edge of the top. They seem to have shortened the length of it so it stops right at the edge of the material. When you slide your foot in it causes the material to get stuck or wedge inside so I have to take my finger all around the edge and lift it out. I even bought thinner socks to help but it didn’t really. The sole doesn’t have much cushion either so after awhile they become a little hard on the foot. When I walk they just don’t feel secure. I’m hoping after awhile they’ll stretch and get better but I doubt it. A bummer cause I liked my old ones so much

A Classic Throwback

I had these back in the day and loved them. Rocket dogs tend to have a roomy rounded toe which is great for me. These are warm and comfy while wearing but when I switch to new shoes the balls of my feel feel kind of sore. Nothing crazy. Easy to wipe clean.

Comfortable, Attractive, No-Slip Reasonably Priced

I have been wearing this particular shoe for about 25 years off and on. This is the first time I purchased them while in Canada but through the years shoes vary from the same maker this is normal. I am very happy as I have always been when this brand first arrived on the scene in California they ran small but they don't anymore they are true to size. This shoe was a mainstay for me, the outside slipper if you are a busy person and need to throw on a pair of comfortable shoes that look good along with stability. I would go with a pair of these in every color while the price is low compared to everyone else wanting 120.00 which is outrageous and ridiculous.

Bit clunky!

These are comfortable however, they are heavy and clunky (for me). They are very warm though I found my feet slide in them wearing socks, maybe a pair of totes socks may stop this issue...
