Excellent Tool For Bald Guys
I've purchased a few slightly cheaper "off-brand" head shavers in the past; they're generally underpowered and last only a few months. Many of these no-name shavers have individually hinged shave heads that are a fuss to open and clean. I've had the Remington now going on 4 months and it performs as well today as it did on day one. I use the Remington primarily to shave the back of my head in the shower with Barbasol shave cream. I find when I blade-shave this area, I get irritation from lying on my pillow while sleeping. The Remington shaver allows me to get near "blade-close" without any skin irritation. I give the top of my head a quick once-over with the Remington while in the shower and finish with a blade to perfection. I find the Remington's motor to be amply powerful; it does not bog down like many of the no-name shavers. Cleaning is a breeze. Simply pop the shaving head off of the machine in ONE PIECE, and rinse using the shower head - vundabar!! Battery life is good; I easily get three shaves per charge. I love that this shaver is completely waterproof! After I exit the shower, I shake out any water remaining in the shaver. I remove the shave head and place both parts of the shaver on a towel to completely dry. I have also used this shaver to quickly trim both my face and head in-between full shaves and it really comes in handy. I am very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend this shaver.

First Use
I generally like this product. Today was my first use, and I used shaving cream. For years, I have shaved my head with a razor. Here are some observations: 1) This shaver let me "shave" my head much faster than before. Shaving with an old style razor takes time -- this shaver saved me time and spared me razor nicks. 2) You're not able to get into the space behind your ears. You'll have to finish off with a razor there. 3) This shaver does not shave "quite" as close as a razor, so I went behind it and finished off with a razor. But this process was still faster than using a razor alone. And if I had not had time to use a razor, the results of the shaver would be acceptable (except for behind the ears). 4) I liked that it is waterproof and I could just stick it under the faucet. 5) The instructions are bad -- I would totally re-write those. 6) It was so easy that I went ahead and used it on the hair on my shoulders. That resulted in more cleanup afterwards. This was my first use, so I don't have any commentary about battery life at this point, At this point after 1 use, I'm glad I bought it!

Excellent head-shave but fragile blades!
Like many folks, I like to keep my hair cut very short, which I've been doing myself for years with a 1960's-era set of "000" clippers. However, those clippers are heavy, require frequent tune-ups and sharpening, and have to be plugged into an outlet to work... so I took a chance on this Remington Balder Pro. I have to admit that I was skeptical at first, but they've really won me over. Here's a quick pros-vs-cons list: Pros: - This Balder is light and easy to hold. - The kit includes a tiny little dropper of oil (I'm guessing it's just light mineral oil), cleaning brush, etc. - The haircut I get from this thing is incredible! After years of struggling to get my hair cut as short as possible, this thing has made it an easy part of my weekly routine. Cons: - As noted in other reviews, the battery will run out halfway through a cut if you didn't fully recharge it after your last cut. Just expect that you'll need to recharge it fully every time you use it and you should be okay. - It's also surprisingly hard to clean the hair clippings out if the little blades - the included brush doesn't do much, and I end up running a lot of hot water over the blades trying to clean them out. - I have not yet figured out exactly what I'm doing wrong, but every time I use this thing to trim the hair on the curved part where my neck meets my shoulders, I end up with patchy irritated spots (almost like small localized sunburns). I'm not sure if it's the nature of this gadget or if I'm just doing it wrong, but either way, it's worth noting. - As you can see in my attached pic, one of the five blades broke a few months after I bought the set. I'd noticed that it was loose and before long I was having to manually press it back into place with a fingertip after every haircut, and then it came loose entirely. I was able to keep using the Balder Pro without that blade but that's obviously not ideal. Credit where it's due: I reached out to Remington to ask if I could buy a replacement blade (since this happened just after the warranty expired) and they promptly sent me an entire replacement set - not just the blade, but *everything* brand new again. Not sure if that's because they really wanted to reassure me of their awesome service, or because they literally don't have separate blades to offer, but either way I'm impressed and grateful - they didn't have to do that. All-in-all, I strongly recommend this Balder Pro if you like wearing your hair very short... just beware of loose blades!

Fast and easy to use, but not close enough for my taste
I like the general design of this shaver and its a good value for the money, but I no longer use mine. When I did use it, I found it to be extremely quick, maybe not quite as quick as some people say, but I was shaving my head in under 5 minutes, which was great. The issue was that it just wasn't quite close enough to me. When I would finish, I would still have slightly visible stubble. I don't mind that look later in the day, but I have dark, fast growing hair, so if I start with stubble like that, it looks almost like a buzzcut by nighttime. If that's what you're looking for, I see no issue with this shaver. The battery life was totally fine, it was reliable, easy to use, and generally free from defects and flaws. Personally I switched to a 3 head Philips design and have had a better experience. The Philips takes a minute or two longer, but it gets me to the exactly length I want. Other than that, there's very little difference. Overall, I would recommend this for someone who cares more about speed than getting a close shave. If that's you, this would be a solid option.

Solid head shaver
I have had this for 4 months and overall a great head shaver. Waterproof. I had some apprehension about the heads as the connection points were plastic, but they have held up. Battery life seems a bit underpowered, as I have to recharge more often than my past shavers but that is a minor issue.
