Elegantly unique and reliable.

Beautiful and elegant quality time piece. The quality look is enough to tell why brands like Citizen and Seiko are a cut above the average table clock. The casing is brushed metal with a rose gold tone, not plastic with a metallic look. The glass is real glass (doesn’t feel like plastic or fiber). The back is plastic but sturdy (doesn’t feel hollow). Time keeping has been accurate. Have tested it for 24 hours and has maintained the minute to the dot (synced it with internet time first). Readability might take a bit to appreciate. At first I was a bit unsatisfied with the reflectivity of the glass but very soon it proved me wrong. It’s certainly not the black on white high contrast readability but it certainly is not tricky either (thanks to the appreciable difference in the size of the hands, and the inner and outer circles to demarcate the hour and minute hands). You will find little setbacks if you are picky. It is made in China (including the movement). Good luck finding anything that is not (unless you want to spend some $200+ on a handmade German cuckoo or some such). The battery slot does not have a cover (at least mine did not). There is a slight gap between the metal casing (refer pic) and the plastic back, could be just on mine but shows the quality control lapse. But really, at $43, this is a definite steal. It’s from Citizen and the look is totally unique and beautiful—just looking at it pleases me, and tells time reliably. I searched around a lot and I can easily tell this one is unique and the price is low for what you get. And, lastly, it goes tick tick. The sound can be heard in a totally quiet room. It pleases some and it could drive some crazy. For me I like the subtle old school noise.

Citizen CC1021 Decorative Desk Clock

I like this clock very much, the rose gold color and design attracted me to purchase it. It is a good buy except it is a bit oversize on my bedside table, not a problem. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend to buy, pretty and reliable. Thanks.
