What kind of watch is this

The packaging does not give any indication as to whether the watch is manual or electronic. if it is electronic there are no instructions on changing the battery. The loop for holding the chain slips out of the small indents in the neck. All together not well packaged or defined when opening.

C-H 3851 pocket watch

One week of use: This is a great pocket watch. The weight of it is the first thing you notice. The feel is substantial. The face door opens well but doesn't open all the way to 90 degrees. It does lock back firmly The picture frame feature opens easily by rotating the marks on the frame to the north/south orientation and pops out. (If you don't place a photo there the frame rattles). There is a "kick stand" on the back to hold it up. It is a bit precarious and has balance problems. The dial is large and easy to read. The calendar window is good but could be larger (for us old folks). The chain provided is long enough to use for most vests and pants pockets. 4.5 stars. I'll keep it.

Did not meet expectations

It did not meet expectations. It seems like a cheaper watch. My son have 3 other pocket watches that was less expensive, but seem more solid. The glass inside that covers the optional picture keeps falling out.

Timeless

What a terrific present. Bought this watch for my son recently and will never forget the look of delight on his face. Simple design, nice weight, great reputation from the Charles Hubert line. Nice bonus on this model is the "arm" on the back of the watch which folds nicely underneath. This allows the watch to stand on its own (think easel) and also means that the watch can be used practically on a bedside table as the timepiece it was intended, as opposed to just sitting in a dresser drawer waiting for a special occasion. A super gift for anyone who appreciates quality and the classics. A never go out of style item. Buy it!

Kickstand useless.

The kickstand on the back is useless. I was excited to find the only watch with a kickstand, but the watch would not sit properly and falls over. The watch is beautiful, but the kickstand was not thought out properly.

More than expected!

The watch is wonderful, It is easy to set, use, and is nice to look at. The only issue I have is that the watch is heavier and bulkier than I expected. I does not fit into the watch pocket of some of my trousers. Nevertheless, I like it enough to keep it.

Beautiful watch, but not exactly what I was expecting.

This is an elegant watch, but it is "heavier" than what I had anticipated. In fact, the watch is much "nicer" than how I intended to use it. I don't feel comfortable carrying it in my pocket for "daily, regular" use. I think that I need something much simpler and less extravagant.

Very Heavy

Bought this for the son in law but he's a smaller guy and this is a big mans watch. But, he loved it because I had a picture of his wife in it and keeps it on the night stand.
