Customers prefer these over styrofoam.
Our customers prefer these containers over the styrofoam ones that we have been using.

Thick containers that hold smaller sandwiches/burgers nicely
I got these to hold food for our college daughter because my wife prepares small meals and other food items for her. These work great for sandwiches and burgers very nicely because they're fairly deep. The lid stays open long enough to get the food into there and once in, the lid closes with a pretty good seal and not much gap around it. We tried putting things like rice into it, but the moisture didn't do so well in there. We also discovered that sandwiches with lettuce/tomatoes also caused the box to get soft. We found a way around this by placing plastic wrap in there to line it, which helps quite a bit. These stack well so long as the box on top of it isn't too heavy. Some of the hinges on these lids were very thin, almost like they were torn so opening/closing them ripped those areas pretty easily. But we worked around this by using tape to reinforce those areas. These overall are handy to have and we appreciate that they eco friendly.

Smaller than expected.
This must be 6 x 6 on the outside as the narrowest part inside seems more like 4 x 4. It's a bit tall though. I like that you can easily rip the crease to turn it into two, so you aren't so wasteful if what you are using it for doesn't require a top. Seems pretty durable but I'd be careful not to get it soggy as it doesn't seem like it would hold up that long to being wet.

Much better for environment than the old foam containers
These Hefty Ecosave Sandwich Containers were available to me through the Amazon Vine program. The containers are environmental friendly, being made from plant-based materials and are 100% compostable at industrial facilities (but not in your backyard compost pile). The containers measure about 6”x6”x3.5”, with the inside bottom of the container measuring about 3.75”x3.75”. At a glance, they look a bit pricey. However, the set includes 2 bags of 100-count containers, so it (currently) calculates out to only $0.14/container. The containers are fairly sturdy. They have hinged lids and are microwavable. They are great for take-out, delivery, picnic lunches, leftovers and more. And best of all, no dishes to wash! These containers are made in China.

Good biodegradable containers....
I got these for salads. I probably won't use them for that purpose because they don't close tightly enough to seal in liquids or to keep from popping open if squeezed. But for sandwiches and other less liquid-filled dishes and leftovers, these things are great. They close like the old McDonalds burger containers, and can be microwaved. These are not meant for reuse. I got these free through Amazon Vine in return for this review. At $0.14 each, I probably would not buy these for personal use, preferring to reuse plastic containers from take-out restaurants instead.

Good Quality and Great Price!
These containers are PERFECT for BBQ's where you have a bunch of pulled pork or brisket made and want to send friends/family home with leftovers. They do have a couple small flaws, but instead of having to send everyone home with your best Tupperware, these do the job! You get 200 containers for less than $30. That's .14 a piece. You really can't get any cheaper than that. If you are looking for something better for the environment, these are made of compostable paper which is pretty sturdy. The only thing I don't find sturdy is the little tab to keep them shut and when removing them from the boxes. If you pull them out individually from the 2 stacks, you'll find that you may rip one. You have to pull them out at the right angle. They also are not air-tight, so don't expect to store things in these for a while. I got them just to store some leftover cake and bbq sandwhiches in. They work well for that. You can even microwave in these without issue. We will be using these for making sandwiches when we go out on the motorcycle, not having to throw away trash or bring tupperware we have to wash. These can be recycled easily because of the compost ability. 5 stars for price and quality for these!
