New design

Be aware this is the new design with a centering pin in the center of the receptacle. This does not allow use of old style plugs that do not have a receiving hole.....BIG PROBLEM !!!

needs modification

It works but both protruding knobs needed to be filed down to allow the male plug to slide over this outlet (see picture) as they don't line up. The terminal connection screws seem to strip just by hand-tightening them.

240 Volt California Style 3W receptacle

Replacement for diesel generator receptacles. Replaced like for like. Works and installed as intended.

Incorrect manufacture specifications the ground connection, see photos.

The exterior ground lug to the plug is not set in a small relief therefore will not connect to the California non NEMA CS6365 which requiers that slight relief for the positive grounding lug connection this will not and cannot be forced together. See photos, note about a .040” difference in size. This is just enough to prevent use. Although the price was great the receptical was just a bit to big to mate with the male counterpart. Had to be sent back. Bought Hubble made instead waiting for that to arrive to test and see if this is a problem with the male plug or the female receptacle. The cord end male and females mate perfectly. As does the male fixed inlet that I will attach to my house electrical system. More soon as the new Hubble made arrive tomorrow 1-26-23.

This is a California style

Competitive price, and quality product, but the narrative in the advertisement fails to mention that it is a California style receptacle. Your standard plug will not fit unless a hole is drilled into it, or the center pin removed from this receptacle.
