I like it for now

UPDATE 2/8/23 - used the jacket a few times now. I got the large. I’m about 5’7” 210lb currently, athletic build and it fits ok. My chest is 40-42”. Shoulders are 20-21”. One con, the part that goes over your mouth I had to cut, driving me nuts, especially when I’m wear a helmet. Now its great. Lastly, if there wasn't a side zipper on the jacket to let me crouch and move around comfortably, my legs and ass would be to tight in the jacket and not very mobile for this activity. This jacket might fit better for skinny legs and taller guy when closed zipper.

Great jacket for snowboarding.

Bought this for my son. He is a 6’3” snowboarder. He loves the length of this jacket to cover his behind when strapping into his snowboard. Loves all the pockets and that it is a thin, but warm, windbreaker. We bought him a sz L.

It's a nice jacket, but I'm a little upset.

I love the look of this jacket. It's my first one, as I'm pretty new to snowboarding. I'm a little disappointed though, cause when I got home after my first trip on the mountain, I noticed this rip on my right arm side. I bought a small because I had the opportunity to try on the black coat at a zumiez, and the medium seemed incredibly large. I'm not a short guy. And the arms hung well past my hands. So the small may be a little "snug" but it honestly fits my build better because I'm lanky. My movements aren't impeded by the size difference. I still have full range of motion, so I dont understand how that seam tore.

Jacket ripped 2nd day wearing on Mtn

Waiting to hear about a return so this review may be updated. I was super psyched about this jacket. My daughter picked the color scheme which actually looked pretty good, because of the reviews it had gotten. Wore it first day out for the season for me and then the following week. During the 2nd day out my buddy told me on the lift that the jacket looked like it had a rip in it, which sure enough it did. Right to the left of my heart on the shoulder seam there was a 3-4” tear in the seam. I know $280 isn’t a lot in terms of snow gear but I have Burton jackets that are 4 years old that are worn for various activities after snowboarding that don’t show signs of failing seams and only paid $40 more. Hopefully either the seller or Volcom make things right

Warmth

Great coat, its nice and long like a ski coat should, fit a hoodie under no problem! Only complaint is im in canada, when we ski it can be down to -20 down to -30 and it just isint too warm, i need to have layers underneath to stay warm this coat is more or a windbreaker with some warmness... i love the look and its really comfy but yeah was hoping it would be warmer
