Good Product, Instructions Could Be Better
All of my windows no longer work. I didn't know if replacing the window operator would fix them, but I thought what the heck? It is a good quality product. My only real objection was that the instructions didn't show all the parts it came with. I'm assuming this is because one of the things is only used if you need...um, it may not be necessary for all windows, but some may have a hole that is too large for the screw--so you put the screw into this plastic piece, and it fits the enlarged hole. I actually did need to use the plastic piece. Another problem I had--which I don't blame the product for--is that the holes in the operator itself did not align with the pre-drilled holes. My screws wound up having to go in sideways, but I was able to secure it. The window operator does work. I don't blame the product because my house is not standard--and it is always a pain in the butt with repairs. I literally had a plumber run out of the house crying because what should have been a simple repair wasn't simple.

Perfect replacement part
Hard to find replacement crank for my awning windows. Ordered a couple for the future. Easy to replace.

the top hole almost lined up perfect. but the new screws were sharp enougth to ...
if this fits it fits perfectly. I had to try 4 slightly different cranks to find the right one because i don't know who makes my windows. some have offset arms or holes that don't line up, or the wrong size threaded hole. this hole is 1/4 20 which was the wrong size for my shoulder bolt, but included a new shoulder bolt so that was no problem. there was no offset on the arms (this is good). the top hole almost lined up perfect. but the new screws were sharp enougth to make a new hole in t he aluminum sheet. so it works PERFECTLY. I suppose i could have tried 4 more cranks and found the absolute perfect match, but this woeks better then the broken one i have. I ordered 3 more. if oyu want to pour over all the charts try swisco.com

Worked! Easy to install.
The media could not be loaded. No instructions for install but it is pretty intuitive. Take off the old one and reverse the steps to install the new one. The plastic piece goes in the hole on the arm, then you screw in the screw.

Don't like those. The awning windows are very functional and ...
We are locked in to these window cranks because our windows require them. They serve old windows (our were make in 1967) on our old house in FL. The original cranks, which look identical, failed because the tab braces on the top and bottom crack. Hard to avoid. If those tabs were made out of more flexible metal instead of what appears to be white metal castings, they would last forever. Cranks came with mounting screws and bushings to attach to window frame. Most people solve problems with old windows by buying new windows. The new windows are edge mounted sliders. Don't like those. The awning windows are very functional and protect the interior from windy rain. Love 'em.

Works great on old school windows!
I was worried since Lowes and Home Depot no longer carry these types of products. our home was built in 1989 with the crank shift windows-you dont see them anywhere anymore. My lovely wife was cleaning one of the windows and stripped the crank shaft, not a good thing when your windows wont close. So we were both happy that these worked! I order additional ones, in case it happens again...

Worked for my year 2000 PGT awning windows!
Fit perfectly except the bottom inside screw was about a sixteenth of an inch off, and better quality than the orignal ones which failed. These come in primer grey, easy to spray paint to match my white ones. The replacement was tough because the pivot bolts rusted inside the aluminum frames, I live close to the ocaen and the salt air wreaks havok on dissimilar metals.
