Will Probably Wear in Well

To me, it's strangely absorbent. I never really thought of a rock absorbing water, but that is in fact, what it does. More than enough to pick up the condensation from the cold beverage in the cup! Overall the feel is weighty, it just feels like it's quality. The color is as pictured, which is nice. The one thing that's a little off putting, and the reason for the -1 star is that there's a printed logo/label on the cork part of the coaster, the part that comes into contact with the desk/table. I use these in an office setting with a white desk that's made up of a white, slightly textured material. The issue is that the printed part wears off on the desk leaving a little black trail as the coaster is dragged across the desk, which sort of defeats the purpose of a coaster. The ink does come off after a quick wipe, but just an FYI. I'm thinking as time goes on, it'll get better, so I'm keeping the coasters.

Surprisingly absorbent coasters!

I was hesitant on these due to the price but the are WORTH IT! I have never found a coaster that actually absorbs and doesn’t end up sweating onto the table. These truly absorb all of the moisture and then dry on their own for further use. Would highly recommend if you are wanting to protect your tabletop surfaces. Plus they are pretty which is a nice benefit!

No more water rings!

I love these, they do their job very well. I would advice you stay away from using these as coasters for juices or coffee as they’re a little difficult to clean.

Ordered 3 sets and had to return 2

These look better online than in person. Two of the three sets I ordered looked like they had been used or were dirty. Also, the boxes were torn so it looked like someone else had returned them. I kept one of the three sets, but I'm not super happy with them.

Love, love, love these! No more rings!

I love this product! I have bought these make great gifts. This set was purchased as an anniversary gift. I had a local woodworker make and set them in wooden coasters. The hybrid was a big hit!

It’s genuine Thirstystone and its sandstone and it works.

Our previous Thirstystone coasters lasted for about 30 years but one of them finally became stained so we decided to buy some new ones. They arrived in perfect shape, although the Thirstystone box was quite damaged (the shipping box was in perfect condition). In terms of absorbing liquid, they work just as well as their predecessors. To reduce confusion, these are sandstone material and sandstone color, not multicolor. Amazon has grouped two different coaster colors in the same webpage which is not a problem; however, Amazon then calls the sandstone coloured coasters multicolor, which they are not.
