Great fluffy blush brush!

Really nice blush brush that spreads the product evenly, and the hairs don't split. It does take up a bit of space as it's a bigger brush, but that's only a concern if you want to squeeze several makeup items into a small bag, esp for travel. For the price, this is great for daily use. I haven't tried it with my Rare liquid blush yet, only my pressed powder blush and it works very well.

Soft

Soft bristles. I like the redesign of the handle.. the old real technique brushes had plastic on them that would degrade and become sticky after a while.

Different from the old version, but still just as good

See pictures for a visual comparison between (a slightly dirty version of) the old RT blush brush (I had to scrape the black polymer at the bottom off because it had gotten sticky over the years, thus the shiny plastic behind it is exposed) and the new version I got from Amazon. It seems to be made of similar materials--aluminum body with a base that is coated with a rubber-like polymer. The colors are definitely different--the old version is a darker pink body, and the newer version has a pink base rather than a black one. I'm a little bit apprehensive that they kept the rubber base, since the rubber base on the old one became sticky and had to be scrubbed off recently; however, it does not affect the function of the brush. The new brush also has a straight cylindrical body rather than an hourglass-shaped one like the old version. The most important difference, however, is the brush head. The newer version is fluffier and rounder than the older one, which is a bit more pointy. The bristles still feel equally as soft, although the newer version feels maybe a smidgen softer. This is probably due to a number of things--newer version might be more fluffy and less dense, and the older one I've had for probably close to five years now, and it has undergone lots of use and cleaning. Only one hair fell out on the first cleaning of the new brush so far, which is consistent with the older brush I have. I remember maybe less than a handful of hairs falling out on the old one in total, most of which fell out within the first few cleanings. Overall I don't notice any difference in functionality. The RT blush brush is still my favorite blush brush, regardless of whether I'm using the old or the new version, and that's in comparison to ELF studio blush and flat top brushes, the MAC angled blush brush, and an Ecotools travel kabuki brush. I have cheeks that are more prominent and also rounder (much like a squirrel), so the big fluffy heads work well at distributing the blush all over my cheeks instead of making it look like a clownish stripe. Granted, I also tend to lean towards more natural-looking blushes like Tarte Exposed, which are definitely more forgiving in terms of blush application. The new brush still feels very soft over my cheeks as well.

This brush is soft and forgiving, allowing you to apply blush without “over-doing” it. Well worth the cost.

Unique shape for a beautiful finish

I've been hearing and reading a lot of great things about Real Techniques brushes. I've tried the Eye brush set and the Angled Foundation brush, so I decided to try this one next. I thought the shape of the brush was interesting, since most blush brushes I've seen are either flat or rounded. At first, I wasn't sure I'd like it because it barely seemed to put any product on my face. Then, I learned that I need to push the brush down more as I'm applying. Its shape is actually perfect for applying product to the apple of the cheek. It's also great for anyone who has a tendancy to overdo their blush because it really allows you to build up to the amount of color you want. I also love the length and shape of the handle. It's the longest blush brush I've ever had and it has a very solid weight to it. It just feels right in my hand. I also like the rosy pink color. It has a flat base, so you can stand it up on end but I don't have the space to do that in my bathroom, at the moment, but it may be nice to do in the future. This, along with the other R.T. brushes are very easy to clean and maintain. I'm very pleased and look forward to trying more of their brushes.

Perfect blush brush

I have darker skin and I can never get my blush to look good. It’s either too light or I overcompensate and look like a clown. This brush has made all the difference. It really picks up the color but is able to disperse the powder so evenly. It almost looks like I’m wearing a cream blush. This brush is a game changer for me. Love it!!

Flawless Application

I really love this Real Techniques brush!! It's so soft and beautifully made. I have already had my own brush for ages and use it daily for blush/bronzer, it makes it so much easier to blend product properly without leaving harsh lines because the brush head is fluffy and the bristles aren't densly packed together. I've gone on to purchase this as a gift for others as well many times. It gives such an even flawless finish that it's been my most used blush brush over my other high end brushes. If you wear makeup then this is an essential to have in your kit!

Professional MUA recommendation!

This is such a great brush for the price! I am a professional mua and own hundreds of brushes in my professional kit, some from expensive high end brands.. with that being said, when doing my very basic makeup on a daily I don’t tend to be as picky and I love cutting the budget when I can.. this brush is fantastic as all the other real techniques tools I have tried, however this is probably my favorite as it is so multi tasking and I currently own three of them which I use for powder, bronzer and blush. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

Picks up product well

The blush brush is soft and fluffy, and it picks up loose powder really well. Only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that the bristles spread out a bit too much when applying powder, so rather than getting a concentrated application, the powder applies in a larger area. I think this is a great brush for setting powder/ bronzer, but will use a different brush specifically for blush. I also do not recommend using this for blending, and the bristles are too plush and fluffy. The quality is excellent for the price, and with the right care I think this brush will last me a long time. Please let me know if you found my review helpful by indicating below. Wonderbrush!

Wow! I really don't find wow products that often & at such a fantastic price! This brush is beautiful to use. It's soft, uses les product & has a NATURAL contouring that is soft enough around the edges that it looks more natural. I've been looking for the perfect brush for years & thought I'd found it, but I hadn't until now. Definitely buying more of this line. I'm thrilled with it. It feels great & no loose hairs. Arrived next day & is a perfect size. 5 ☆ review for a 5 ☆ product.

Very disappointed regular brand shopper

I have been a loyal customer of Real technique brushes, sponge etc for years now as I moved away from MAC that was way too over priced. So far so good. Until during COVID I ordered this blush brush. It was so poor in quality and so flimsy that I wondered if it was genuine. The bristles are too soft vs my previous one and don't pick up the product as nicely. Very disappointed. Will have to look for other brand options now!
