Water tank switch
Fit great no issues

Fine valve
This style of valve is just fine for its function. My only wish is some ingenious engineer would figure out a way for the air vent portion of the valve to not get plugged up. I.e. some sort of wiper assembly that cleans off the air vent port as the float cycles up/down.

Works like a champ!
Replaced one just like it in style. Immediately started working like it should after a few drain & fills of the tank!

It works.
Turned power off to deep well. Drained the water from the existing metal water tank through faucets. Waited until all the water... then air... left the tank. Closed the faucets. Took the old volume control out and put the new one in. This was a fairly easy procedure. Turned power on and waited for tank to fill. I could hear the air escaping the valve, which I did not hear on the old valve. The tank filled properly and I turned the faucets on to bleed air from lines. Pump runs only a fraction of what it did prior to new valve installation. I think the price is a bit high, but if it helps the pump by running less it is probably worth it.

Identical to original.
Works fine but the arms on these floats are not a solid rod and that is what went bad on my old one. The arm bend up . These look identical to my original so i decided to beef up the rod with a piece of 8 awg solid copper wire soldered to the float arm. If not for the weak float arm this device would probably never fail.

Can't go wrong with Johnson Controls components
This switch closes the air pressure relief valve when the water level in the tank reaches the appropriate level. The switch was failing and dripping water in the pump house, non-stop. This is the exact same brand/model I replaced, and the one that failed was on the tank when I purchased the property in 2003, demonstrating its longevity. Given this is a farm tank, serving a home with a pool, and the property, it gets a significant workout. I suspect that because the well is inside of a structure, this switch and other components last somewhat longer than they would if the well system was exposed to the elements.

Says Penn, not Johnson controls.
Using it as a spare, not installed yet.

Works very well and has “secret” ability. :)
Perfect replacement for my deep-well system. Something not mentioned in the description is this has an *optional* outlet for gauge/pressure switch that is pre-threaded. If you dont need this feature, simply do nothing. This threaded recess does NOT by default connect to the tank-side pressure. If you want this feature, simply drill a small (tiny is fine!) hole in the threaded recess and screw your gauge or pressure switch in. That little hole connects the gauge to the pressure side of things. This means one unit can fill the role of two. Simply drill the hole to allow connection of a pressure switch or gauge. Neat!
