I love this stuff
I love this stuff. Since I can't get into a traditional ceramics studio, the Porcelaine 150 is the next best thing for me. If you follow the directions precisely, then you should have no problems. Make sure to READ the instructions, don't guess. My pieces have been around for a while now. All of them have been through the dish washer and the microwave so often that i lost count and they look perfect - no chips, fade, or cracks. And i have had no microwave fires either (someone gave me a nail polish mug and didn't tell me thus when i nuked the mug my fire alarms went off and i had to replace the glass plate- growl) Now, you have to build up some of the colors because some of them are a bit translucent at first brush. Take your time though. If you glob on the color, your results are going to be disappointing when you bake it. Be patient. And let it dry between coats. It dries fast so the wait won't be long (5 mins at least.) If you make a mistake (small) just let it dry and take a cotton bud with some rubbing alcohol and dab at it until its gone. If you make a larger mess (or just hate your design) just wash it off with water and soap. This is a bonus if your picky like I am. You have to have an OVEN - this will not work in a 'toaster oven' or microwave. AND you have to wait at least 24 hrs for thicker paint designs. But it is soooo worth the wait. You are going to love your results for a very, very long time. I know i do. ( i have added some pics of my fav projects)

Best way to "enamel" jewelry and dishware without expensive equipment
Pebeo pitches these paints for porcelain and I imagine they work fine for that but I use them primarily to create easy 'enameling' on metal jewelry and pendants. This is the second set I have bought. The first set I purchased over 10 years ago and finally a couple of the colors had thickened enough to be difficult to use. In that decade I painted a few dozen pendants and broaches, decorated a few drinking cups, and decorated 3 or 4 rings. A super easy way to add flair to cheap silver or tin-pewter jewelry. Some of these pieces get used a lot and there have been very little chipping. The colors are not totally opaque and the yellow is almost translucent. Product is very easy to use: clean you surface thoroughly with alcohol; paint your decorations; allow to dry at least 24 hours; bake at 300F in your home oven for 35 minutes. The time and temperature are critical. If you have an inaccurate oven dial, like I do, verify your temperature with a thermometer. I used a small toaster oven one time and the pieces got too hot, either from poor temp control or too close to the heating elements I'm not sure, and the colors burned a bit: blue was more black, red was dark burgundy, yellow was brown ochre. Thjey still have held up well, just not the correct colors.

It has too much purple in it.
After the disappointment with the ruby red, I ordered the garnet red as it was a deeper red, however, this deep red has way too much purple in it, as I am trying to match a maroon or wine red color. Again disappointed. There should be a way for the customer to order a color swatch without going through blindly ordering colors that aren't going to look like the picture.

I had no idea something like this existed! Did a little digging and found it and I’m in love!

Enjoyable painting experience
I purchased these for a father's day project involving children, mugs, and this porcelain paint. I followed the directions. But after painting the mugs, baking the mugs, using the mugs, and washing the mugs, I noticed the paint scratching off in places. I'm not sure what I'm missing here. They are great as a decorative piece that is displayed remotely. But I was hoping for a mug that would be a little more integrated into our daily living.

Porcelain paint
A little hard to get deep color mixes but I enjoyed painting the plate and it worked as directed.

This stuff is great! I bought a Talavera covered baking dish at a yard sale and when I got it home, discovered a small scrape of the glaze - probably my fault the way I'd transported it. I googled "repair ceramic baking dish" and came across Pebeo's products. I ordered this 6-paint set, figuring that no matter what I needed to match, I'd be able to do it with the set. Perfect! Easy to work with, clear instructions, and now you cannot tell where the repair is unless you are carefully running your fingers over it. Love this stuff. Now I am looking around my china cabinet to see if there is anything else I can repair, and I found a website where people are using this paint on plain pieces to spiff them up.

Does what i want it to do
I like this product because it does exactly what i want it to do ... decorate pre-glazed dish ware that will last thought a dishwasher a few times (i like to hand wash my arted up pieces, but i do have lazy moments too.) This is not an easy art process for someone who is impatient. Take your time. do your color build up in layers for best results. Let the project dry between coats and final baking. If you rush this product your going to be disappointed. Test it on some cheap plain wall tiles first (makes great coasters/pot trivets once testing is done). And its not as effective on dark colors in my opinion.

Plus foncé
Plus cendré que doré je trouve. Ce n'est pas à cette couleur que je m'attendais.

Gave a nice finish
Easy to use and gave a nice finish, only issue was I was changing the colour of a soap dish, not the best to get a brush stroke finish, works fine if putting decorations around something

Make some art in a white plate
Easy to pick up a bit of white china in a charity shop for a few pence and make your own personal item. These paints are not hard to use ...bake in the oven...wash regularly
