Overpriced and uncomfortable.
I got these because I developed posterior tendinitis in my right ankle from increasing my running mileage too quickly and my over pronation. These are great for support. They really do help out with dorsiflexion and reducing the load enough so I can run without pain. The comfort on these make you feel like you’re running barefoot. There isn’t enough cushioning. I wouldn’t run more than 10k in these. I’m a midfoot/forefoot striker and my forefoot starts to ache, throb, and hurt around the 4 mile mark. Still not sure if I want to keep these or return them. Most likely I’ll try running in them a little bit more to see if I develop any injuries or if the discomfort make them not worth keeping.

Not worth it
These did not have much support. Expected a lot more for the price

Cheaply Made - Poorly sized
I was expecting a lot more from these insoles. The first issue is that the size range is much too large, ranging 3 different shoe sizes. If don’t have a shoe size that is the bottom or the range from Spenco, these will simply be too small and your toe will stick over the edge, making them incredibly uncomfortable. At the very least, these need to be made by whole sizes, not ranges that span 3 sizes. It just doesn’t work. The foam material is also inexpensive and the carbon plate is thin and cheap with very little dynamic spring. Save your money.

arch support
Great arch support. Can be cut to size. Tend to be thick, so may be hard in structured boots as it will push your toes up.

Special but pricey inner soles.
Spenco Propel + Carbon Performance Shoe Insoles These are state of the art orthotics made with a sole of carbon fiber. I’m amazed at all the uses for this amazing material. From building jet liners to shoe insoles. The rigidity is what gives you the spring in your step as you run. There is a rebound effect that helps give you the feel of running faster than you really are. The sole is practically indestructible and will last a good while, in your exercise regime. It’s comfortable but purposeful in its mission. It’s well constructed on the overall and a useful addition to your running shoes. I think you will enjoy the feeling and do recommend them.

Work well for avid runners
Engineered for runners, these are suitable for that purpose. If you are looking for an insole to alleviate pain due to a specific foot condition, these may or may not work for you. From my understanding, they are made for athletes, runners, etc and designed to give you an extra boost and bounce in each foot strike. They are priced considerably higher than many mainstream insole brands. (triple the price of the inserts my husband was previously buying) They do have the carbon plate technology which isn't found in lower priced insole inserts. My husband was excited to see how they compared to the lower priced Spenco insoles he previously tried. My husband swapped out his old insoles in his second pair of running shoes for these and said they felt very lightweight but also a bit harder than inserts he has used before. He wears a size 10.5 shoe and these fit nicely. They don't offer any special cushioning nor are they supposed to. He said that he could really feel a noticeable (springy) difference when running, especially after going for many miles. His feet felt aligned properly and he didn't experience any discomfort during use. I asked if he noticed any MAJOR differences in speed and he said that he didn't really think so. You need a good shoe with a good insole to get the most out of your run and prevent foot pain. This insole does just that! With the premium price tag, it's one of those things that you, yourself, need to try to see if it is worth the extra $$$.

Maybe better for running than walking
This Spenco Propel + Carbon Performance Shoe Insoles for Women and Men fits quite well into my Brooks sneakers. They're size 7, and I worried that these might be too small. They're a perfect fit. The original insoles are really thick and plush. Unfortunately, the label is no longer attached securely, and it's folded over. Since Brooks doesn't make my model anymore, they couldn't offer a replacement. I wear these sneakers for long walks nearly every day. I don't run. I wish the new insoles were thicker. I feel the impact of every step more than I would like. My feet hurt after walking several miles with these. I'm not sure if there are thick replacement insoles that I would like more, but I'm going to keep looking.

Very Specific Use Insole...Not For Cushioning
Here's an insole that is unique. It has what appears to be a carbon-like very strong thin full layer. It is bonded to what is a thin low-density foam type material for cushioning. The insole gives the maximum heel and arch support with the carbon-like layer bending and then releasing a forward motion push. Not much cushioning but a very unusual combination of extreme lightweight support with some energy return. There is no way to know if this is beneficial to you and you alone will have to decide. I found it lacking enough cushioning.
