Much darker than pictured. Roses don't POP when backlit.

Light does shine through this window, but it is a very DARK stained glass window. It is well made. The rippled class is on the correct side of the window. I was expecting a brighter blue, like the picture on the listing. It takes a lot of back light to brighten the blue background. If you are looking for a privacy window, this may be a good choice. I am trying to decide if this window will allow enough light into the room. In low light, this is very dark. Even the roses are dark. You can discern that the white roses are lighter than the others. Light does not pass through the colored roses well enough to be able to distinguish their color at noon on a sunny day. You need to have a light on inside the room to see the color of the roses. When it is bright outside, the background takes center stage, NOT the roses. Personally, I bought this window for the roses. I was expecting the roses to POP during daylight hours. The roses don't POP anytime in this window panel. The background is important, but I don't expect or want the background to be the main event. I placed this window in a north facing window, so it does not receive direct sunlight. I would not trust the solder on this panel in a South facing window. I purchased two other Chloe window panels that allow more light to pass through them. I have also purchased a River of Goods bird panel that is fine.
