Quality control STINKS!
My NINE boxes order came in two shipments. First box included three sets. Second box came much later and included six sets. I had already installed the items in the first shipment of three sets and they worked perfectly as can be seen in the second photo. HOWEVER, upon receipt of the second box of six sets, I opened to find that the holes were not drilled properly! ALL SIX boxes in that shipment HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. See the first photo to see what I mean. Because I ordered all nine sets on the same order, there is no way to request a return of the SIX kits that are FUBAR. I can't take off the three sets that I've already installed and there is no option to contact the seller to simply request new plates, drilled correctly, instead of sending NINE new kits (and me returning nine kits, of which three are already installed!!!!). Would be a great product if all were like my first three kits! See other one star review from someone that had the same problem with quality control and shows the inconsistent brackets with a tape measure. This is EXACTLY what my problem is. More of a pain to send them back since I've already installed three boxes of them that were manufactured correctly, only to get six more boxes that are complete crud!!! What a HUGE disappointment!!! Really was loving these brackets when I got the first (correctly manufactured) kits...

Nice Looking Hardware And Easy Installation!
This is a solid product and adds a nice finishing touch to a timber styled gazebo I built!

Looks elegant against the wood.
The fit and finish is good and looks nice against the wood. It's the only bit of hardware that looks like it. One thing I would add is, when using these to hold knee braces to a post, they should include a 5" or 6" screw to secure through the brace then into the post or beam. Makes for a much stronger connection. I used a 6" HeadLok screw. Packaging sucks and could/will lead to damage in shipping.

Nice kit for any project
Used this for a pergola I am building and it looks great. Comes with everything you need even the bits to attach it.

Very nice reinforcements
I was really impressed with these. Unlike another reviewer, I found them to be plenty strong. A couple of them needed to be bent in a couple degrees, but I could not get them to budge with my bare hands. One thing I did do is throw out the small screws and used all full-sized Ozco timber screws of various lengths. I also added a post band where my post has an annoying check in the wood grain.

Great but not great
Great in the way of they look awesome and add a cosmetic look to pergola. Not great in the way they aren’t structurally useful. Ended up putting large lag bolts in holes. Secondly what’s not great is the holes were not aligned in the 4 we got. The center bolt hole was offset to a point that it hit the outer most bolt when securing.
