Love the brand but these are just ok
Been a huge fan of gargoyle for years. Dad still wears the black terminator ones. These here, however, don't live up to the gargoyle name. Had them for a year and a half. These lenses are impossible to keep clean and the rubber pieces have fallen apart around the nose bridge. I realize they are not brand new anymore the terminator ones seem to last considerably longer and can endure more wear.

Pretty 'Okay' Sunglasses
First timer with Gargoyle Sunglasses here, although I know of the label and the famous Terminator 1 ANSI Classics. Having worn the Rampart sunglasses off and on for the better part of a year, my lasting impression is that these are... okay. The Rampart's aren't great, and they're not terrible either. They're just lackluster compared to more expensive brands and not cheap enough to shrug off the shortcomings. My biggest gripe with these is the lenses which could do better in direct sunlight. I commute along an east/west corridor and get sunlight blasting me in the face morning and evening, and I need sunglasses that can handle that. These fall short. They're much better with the sun overhead, though still not as good as my Revo, Ray-Ban, or Oakley's. The styling is not bad and similar to Oakley. Initially, I was worried they'd look a little too "dude-bro," but they're nice and square with a moderate wrap-around shape. I recommend buying these if Oakley's are too much but you want better than gas-station quality glasses. In other words, middle-of-the-road performers.

Pricey but Nice Glasses
These are overall very good. They came with a really nice hard protective case and lens wipe, in a legit retail box (these aren't your random Chinese knockoffs...these are higher end, retail quality glasses with comparable packaging. That being said, you're paying for all this. At over $100 I'm a little taken a back. They were previously listed in the mid $80s which make more sense and I was able to get them from the VINE program....not sure I would have paid $100 for Gargoyles outright. The glasses themselves ARE nice though and worthy of a higher end price. They're much better than ones off a department store rack. I have a smaller head/face and can't wear wide or bulky glasses. These fit me great but aren't so small that a larger face would have an issue. They're comfortable. The arms of the frames look like typical plastic but I think they're more rubber based because they more flex to them. That triangular gap in the arm actual flexes and you can pinch that triangle closed (if that makes sense)....so if you're wearing a hat or something they still maintain a good amount of comfort. Also pretty lightweight and the polarization works well. I've worn them bank fishing and the polarization competes with my Oakleys. Probably not on the same level as Costas or Maui Jims but very serviceable. Overall I'm happy with them and would recommend if they're in your price range.

Made in Taiwan. Super pricey. Very lightweight.
These sunglasses come in a really nice and cool case. The case comes in a nice stiff cardboard box. Very easy to wrap if you’re giving them as a gift. These sunglasses do not have a spring at the hinges so they do not flex. The earpieces go almost straight back. They don’t fit me as well as some other sunglasses. But I do like the fact that they are extremely lightweight. So they are fairly comfortable. For some reason the listing shows that the frame is rubber. That is incorrect. The frame is plastic. These sunglasses are made in Taiwan. At the current price of just over ninety-three bucks I think they are at least sixty bucks overpriced. But overall I like them.

Amazing Lens, Amazing Case, Reasonable Price
These are my favorite sunglasses. The lens truly makes it easier to see in bright sunlight (as opposed to some brands that just make it dark). The frames fit well and the side cutout is very distinctive and sets these apart from other designs. The case is a work of art with its center notch and built in clip. The level of detail and attention that Gargoyle puts into its case and lenses is top notch. I have worn sunglasses that are double the price of these but these are still my favorite hands down. Worth Every penny!

Not premium
I ordered a few pairs of Gargoyles sunglasses and ended up being disappointed with both. Function-wise, they are fine. The polarized lenses are pretty good and they are comfortable enough. However, they just don't look or feel like a premium pair of sunglasses. I had higher hopes but they feel cheap. I wouldn't repurchase and instead would spend a bit more for something more polished.
