Useful and portable

This is a very useful item, you may not need it every day but you will be glad that you have it to do your basic checks. I will not replace it with a full scale multimeter but the features that it has in a small frame is more than worth it. I normally keeps mine in the car. The only real down fall is that it has no back light, otherwise I would have given it a five out of five.

This is a great meter

Some of the criticism here is based on the size and or quality of the meter. It is true that this meter is a bit smaller and more fragile than some, but the features that come with the meter are the same as much more expensive meters. For the price it is a great product. If you want a sturdy field meter, this is not it, but for the bench it is great. Update: I dropped the meter and the tip broke, just like in the other reviews. I pulled it out and epoxied it in the "out" position, and use it every day. I love it and may buy a second.

Extech 381676A Pen MultiMeter with Built in NCV

Wonderful device. It is perfect for those times when you do not feel like or do not need to hook up your 5,000 to 10,000$ Hewlett-Packard microvolt digital multimeter with 500,000 samples per second data sampling rate. Remember to always use Energizer Lithium batteries in this device, I have never seen that brand of batteries leak and cause damage. I NEVER use Duracell. This slightly different model is wonderful.

Can't beat for the price.

Bought to use when traveling for service work. Needed something small that would not take up much space but still have the features I needed. Couple suggestions would to remove batteries when traveling. this way if TSA turns on when if inspected the batteries don't get depleted. Have had this happen a couple times.

Volt Meter

This meter is very useful! It's nice being able to carry around a meter that can do 80% of what you need with out having to caring around a bigger meter. It fits in your side pocket very well and just slightly bigger than a tick tracer.

Cheap meter but only needed for non critical tasks. Should have came with a case

This is the second one of these I bought. The first one looked like a return item that was missing some items. First off I was disappointed this didn’t come with a case like the description stated. Only when it arrived, the box had a sticker stating it didn’t come with one. Quality is what you would expect from a meter at this price point. The continuity mode on this is not consistent with probe tension. If you put the probes on your test points and slightly move them around but not lose contact, the beep sound gets garbled and intermittent. I only use this for quick low voltage and resistance tests on fire alarm circuits and related wiring. Any checks on high voltage circuits, I’d prefer to use my Fluke meter. Voltage proximity sensor is not very sensitive but unlike non contact versions, you have to actually be in contact with the wires or the device the wires are connected to.

Conforme, pratique et bons accessoires

Appareil conforme mais attention livré sans étui (vendeur contacté a bien reagi). 2 autres petits reproches: 1) la sonde libre possède une prise un peu trop longue ce qui gêne si on veut le ranger sans la débrancher à chaque fois 2) J'aurais préféré un bouton on/off indépendant ou au minimum que la position off soit juste à côté de la position voltmètre, ici c'est le contraire, si on mesure une tension et que l'on veut couper le multimetre on passe par la position mA...inutile de dire que si on n'a pas débranché au préalable on va endommager l'appareil... Sinon il semble bien fonctionner et les accessoires sont bien (sauf les 2 petits capuchons des pointes qui se perdront rapidement)

Es multimetro y es detector de corriente como las plumas esas que hay por ahi, la verdad muy satisfecho y los materiales son de muy Buena calidad, se ve premium y es economico.

Sencillo y funcional el unico pero que le pongo es la punta roj que no es tan fácil removería para su almacenamiento en la funda incluida
