Broke - need replacement glass

The glass container broke when I tried pulling out the stainless steel lid, which had got stuck. I would like to buy a replacement glass container but they are not available. So I have replaced the whole thing with an Airscape canister, which has a bit thicker glass and an all-plastic lid and seems to work just as well.

Makes a fun sound as air escapes

I roast my coffee and purchased a small and large air tight container. Functions smoothly and the hissing as air escapes when closing is an extra unexpected bonus.

Loved it but

Loved it cylinder is tall and fit just right in my cabinet. Kept the coffee airtight. Problem the plunger got stuck. I'm 73 and not as strong as I used to be, so pulling the plunger out made the glass cylinder break. If you buy this be very careful. I ordered a stainless steel cylinder with plunger.

Looks attractive and helps keep food fresh.

I keep walnuts and pecans in this container. Keeps them handy and visable. Reduces the amount of air reaching product but not for storing food in indeffinately.

Arrived quickly and in great condition.

Purchased as a gift and the recipient loves it. They stated they had to make sure the container, which is glass, will not crack. Releases the air as advertised for keeping the coffee fresh. Recommend!

great for coffee storage but too small

great for coffee storage but too small to have a whole package of coffee (it can maybe hold up to 250g / 8.5oz the bigger one is much better :)

Beautifully stores my precious coffee beans!

I love the concept of eliminating the air from the storage jar. However, when sealed, I can faintly smell the coffee beans, so maybe not as tight a seal as I would wish. Still much better than the average jar, and far prettier, too.

These are really cool - fantastic for coffee storage

I'm using these to store freshly-roasted coffee beans (they need to vent; this container allows that) and to store fresh grinds - these containers have stopped my coffee grinds from going bitter! Coffee used to get bitter within a matter of days, and now I keep it for a good fortnight (and then I've used them all). I can fill it with coffee beans and hold the container lid, and it will support the weight of the jar and contents (sliding slowly out if the jar is full, due to the force of the mass and gravity). Really glad that I bought two of these, and I love the "SSSCCCHHHHLLRRRRRRPP!!" sound the vaccuum makes whenever I remove or replace the canister lid

Extends roasted coffee beans shelf life!

Too small for 250gms of coffee

This is a nice looking storage jar and no doubt a good method for keeping things fresh. However I bought the small size on the understanding it would hold 250gms of coffee which it cannot do. Even with a lesser amount the lid cannot close to the point of suction. An expensive mistake due to the sizes beside the initial picture and product info being different from the sizes lower in the detailed information although even there it states the amount it should hold which is wrong. Very disappointing
