The offset keyhole problem has an easy solution...

...just visit your local locksmith and have him make a couple normal keys for you. You got to wonder what the heck Master Lock was thinking when they went with the off-center key mounting hole..... On the other hand, when they say "Magnum Heavy Duty" they are not kidding. You'll realize that as soon as you have one of these guys in your hand. This is definitely a confidence inspiring lock. In a previous review, Erik Little helpfully pointed out: "Due to the keyhole being on the side of the key (instead of having a keyhole centered on the top), they key doesn't fit well on keyrings. Once you place the key on a keyring, you will immediately notice that the key is slighted slanted and off balance due to the placement of the keyhole on the key itself."

Jobsite box locks

The locks you need for Jobsite boxes. Fit perfectly. Knocked 1 star off due to only being able to order these in 2 packs with matching key. Most other master locks can be ordered in 4 packs. With 2 large boxes I needed 4 of these with matching key so it’s just extra keys I have to carry around and mark which key is for what box. An extra headache I didn’t want.

Good for what they are

They are a bit larger than most that you see for locking gates and sheds. I wanted ones that I could lock my trailer tongue with. So they come with a 5/16 shackle and I drilled the coupler handle hole-up one more size. I'm glad the common person doesn't study lock picking. Not sure if they will be as weather proof as a round padlock. I would buy again.

Does the job, price was good

I needed locks for a Jobsite box. These do the job, they fit perfectly and the plastic collar prevents metal rattle. They are keyed alike so there are less keys to fumble with.

Great lock

Trusty masterwork is always a good choice to buy when getting a lock. The last one I bought lasted me over 15 years until it corroded due to humidity. They are built to last in the right conditions.
