Awesome find!

I needed to extend the height of my interior door by two inches. This was the only thing I could find that would work. It’s definitely wider. I think it’s meant for exterior/industrial doors. So be aware of that! I just used a piece of wood to fill in the gap and longer screws to hold it in place.

Works great

I bought and used this for an adjustable bottom for a new door I built and installed. Simple installation and the flexible positioning of it made a very good tight seal with the threshold. Definitely recommend this. Will buy again when needed.

Great Fix to Old Door

This is a great fix to an old door that is broken at the bottom. Our door was so bad that some of the screws would not even want to stay in, therefore, I have to find another solution to hold it in place better in some areas, but so far, it's staying in with the few screws that are staying in. The cutting was not the easiest, as I don't have much strength to cut or perhaps the best of tools, but it was still possible to cut just a little bit to make it fit right. It would be nicer if it was just right for the door, but it was just slightly longer than we needed, therefore it had to be customized. The door is tight so we cannot use the bottom strip, but that's a great addition to metal part, if needed. I'm very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it if you need to save your door until you can manage to have it replaced. I just need to figure out how to tighten the screws on the outside so that dirt does not accumulate from the top. Maybe, I will glue this on top of it to make sure it stays in place and that no dirt will get in from the top of it. But if your door can hold the screws like it should, you should not have that problem.

Fine, as long as you don't care what it looks like...

I know that these are just cut from extruded aluminum channels, but there was absolutely no attempt to clean it up. It came out of the package unbelievably dirty, and had scratches and gouges all over. It was sealed, so I don't think it was used and returned. It's fine, but our brand new office deserves better.

High quality door bottom

This is a high-quality study door bottom that was easy to install. I had to shorten it for the particular door I put it on.

Couldn't Be More Pleased

My steel, garage man door was rusting at the bottom so I purchased this product to extend the door's life. I trimmed the cover down with a hack saw to fit the 32" door, filed the rough edges, slid the gasket onto the bottom, pinched the flanges on each end and slid the aluminum cover onto the door which fit perfectly. The screws grabbed the door tightly and the gasket creates a nice seal over the threshold. The cover's guage and design makes it sturdy. Looks good. I pressed a bead of silicone into the tiny gap between the cover and door and figure I just bought another five years on my door.

Solid unit

This is a perfect product where the application is a door that is worn out or rusted or falling apart at the bottom. The aluminum is strong enough to to secure the door and make replacing the door unnecessary. There is more than enough aluminum so that you can even cut off some of your worn out door if you want. I chose to just "cap" the bottom of my door. Because my door had some swelling, I had to tap the aluminum unit into place, making sure to not damage the bottom slot for the rubber.

Came bent….?

Heavy duty and looks like it’ll last, came slightly bent on one side…. The box they shipped it in was oversized and probably was moving around during shipping..

Worked great

Bought this for my storm door. The door was wider than 1.75”, but I could bend it open a bit to fit around the bottom of the door. Workers great for filling a large gap at the boot bottom. Heavy duty too, will easily handle Winnipeg snow.

Excellent product!

Product was exactly what I needed to securely finish off the bottom of an old door (120 years old) to close off the gap to the threshold. It was very easy to cut to my required length on the table saw and to install. It looks good, is very sturdy, and it works well to eliminate drafts. I would definitely purchase it again.
