One blade per order. I bought two.

One of the blades had small nicks on the sharp edge. I installed on an old Craftsman chipper/shredder anyhow. They functioned superbly. In the past I've had the Chipper serviced professionally and it didn't work this well. It now self feeds the branches and eats them up in record time! I am very pleased.

Perfect replacement

Pleased when I opened the package they did not seem like Chinese knockoff crap. They seemed identical in every way to the OEM on my MTD machine. They weren't sharp enough to shave with out of the package, but neither were they unusable without first having them sharpened. They were sharp enough that I had to be careful not to cut myself installing them. Remember to buy a pair as you machine probably has two to balance out the flywheel. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that they WEREN'T sharp enough to shave with out of the package, although as I said, that may or may not be an issue.

Thought the name brand would give me a higher quality blade

I'd hoped by ordering the blades from the official MTD store here that they'd be the highest quality. But like so many other people found, there are little chips and nicks in the blades when they arrive. Look closely at the one in the product picture and even it has a chipped corner. The nicks and chips are small but for the price I expected better.

I assumed this was for a pair of blades, Price was higher than others. (discovered late).

Quality was acceptable, but pics suggested that there were two blades to replace the two original bladea. I later discovered other choices which had two blades plus hardware for a lower price than this single blade. All were advertised as OEM. Disappointed.

Chipper Blades

Good replacement blades for Troybilt wood chipper

Mine were not dull out of the package. Not flawless, but plenty sharp despite a few burrs.

After seeing some reviews about being dull out of the package, I was hesitant. They certainly weren't dull, though the machining was a bit rough. The edge had a couple small burrs, but literally just a few strokes with a sharpening file took care of those and they were plenty sharp. I'd prefer not to have to do that, so they're not a five star blade, but it certainly wasn't a big deal.

Not OEM

I contacted Amazon and they exchanged the blade for the OEM part. Thank you. I previously purchased this on Amazon and I received an OEM blade black hardened steel with the part number stamped on it. This one has no part number on it and is bright, shiny and sharp. In my opinion this is not an OEM part and it is thinner and shorter than the OEM part I previously purchased. I am afraid it will not hold up over time like the original equipment part.

For this much money for a little piece of metal it should not have a chip out of it!!!

It should be hard metal for this price and not have a chip out of it. I was really surprised that it was damaged. It is a blade for chipping wood and if it can't even survive shipping not much chance it will last in my chipper.

Chipper Blades

They are thinner then I expected but nowhere on the site did it say how thick they were. The blades will work but the old ones were almost double the thickness.

Does the job.

I picked up a used chipper that was supposedly hardly used. Well I tried to chip a small branch and it just sat there. An inspection revealed the blades were toast. I picked up these blades and now she works like new.
