Cabrito did not like it one bit!

We installed this well made and strong unit on a dwarf Nigerian billy named Cabrito. Our plan was to tie him along grape and weed covered fence line. His plan was otherwise! He somehow got the unit shifted and freed a leg. My fault for sure and the little 75 pound bundle of testosterone seemed to love the feeling of power he got when reaching the end of his tether and the feeling of flight when all four legs went on as his body stopped and the resulting thud when his whole body fell to the ground. We are going to try a halter and hope he has enough sense not to try same thing on his neck he uses on the harness. He is a little bastid!

Great for large dogs

I was unsure it would be strong enough because I have a 90lb pitbull that always pulls during walks and a sturdy harness was a must!! It's been a month and it's holding up very well. It's not bulky and has great quality. I bought a size large and it fits perfectly.

Great control

Works great for our 4 year old husky, she always tries to back out of other harness with ease, this one she can't. I have better control over her out on walks, and doesn't pull nearly as much as others. Would buy again. Recommend for dogs with small head,long neck.

Great harness

This harness is wonderful. Ive been looking for one that fits my Jimmie Dog, as he seems to be in between sizes. Hes a weird guy, and he likes to slip his harness like Houdini. If you think he cant get out, he still can...not with this fire engine red jaws of steel harness. He can twist and turn all he wants, this harness wont budge! Best investment since we got him 4 yrs ago.

Not the right fit for my dog.

I have what is generally acknowledged a medium-sized dog at 45 lbs so I bought this medium-sized harness. I thought it might be more comfortable than a collar attached to a chain. Well, even with all the belts tightened all the way, it was too loose on her. It shifted around as we walked and irritated her front arm (paw?) pits. And she learned how to escape by putting her head down and backing up out it. Not a safe situation. We're back to using the collar with a chain.

Does the job

It does the job but it is quite thick and cumbersome. Weighs a lot and is so sturdy my dog actually pulls more rather than deters pulling.

Good harness

I have 2 huskies, one doesn't pull when we started using this harness and the other one pulls no matter what harness we use. So this is good quality harness but I don't think it will stop your dog pulling, but at least it's easy for you to hold the dog back if your dog pulls. and also because we don't really make it tight so they can get out from the head part, my not pulling husky escaped from this harness few times when we pulled hard towards different directions. But we still love this harness, the other different brand harnesses we have they also can escape when we pull different directions.

Won’t stay in place

Unusable for me. It won’t stay in place, and even when fitted very snuggly it slips and slides around the body with even the smallest movement. We went on a very slow paced stroll around the block and the harness couldn’t stay in place for 30 seconds. The thickness and sturdiness of the fabric and clips is great, but the way it moves makes it uncomfortable for the dog, and far easier for them to slip out.

After trying several harnesses for my giant breed this one was a hit. It fit like it was supposed to. The quality was second to none. And cusomer service was great. I was just about to give up when I ordered this harness. You won't be disapointed.

This is an excellent product.

I just bought a Goldendoodle and hes currently 30lbs. I bought a medium and it fits him very well, with lots of room for growing. I use it in the back seat while driving. I clip a teather to it and he can travel safely. He still gets car sick, so I place towels down and it is working good so far. I would reccomend buying this product

Very sturdy

I have gone through 4 harnesses with my 9 month old pup. This one seems like it will last. It is very easy to put on, and my dog can't slip it like he was able to with the others. With the other harnesses, my dog would pull and would choke himself because it went too far up the neck, this one rests pretty low on the clavicle, so no issues with choking. For a basic harness, it is pretty heavy, but I think that says more about the sturdiness of it.
