Durable and makes the job much easier

We're installing about 900 sq ft of laminate flooring, so I bought this toolset along with the Norske cutter to make the job less complicated. The steel is heavy and the mallet is well made. The wedges actually lock together in increments and came in very handy - they give you plenty of them, which is appreciated! The block is very handy and sturdy to take a continuous beating from the mallet. The one thing to be aware of...most manufacturers want you to leave at least 3/16 to 1/4 gap at all areas of contact with the floor. The fattest part of a wedge is 5/16, which is a little too much in my opinion. NOT a deal-breaker, by any means - just something to know. I would buy this again and highly recommend this product!

Essential for Laminate Flooring

Hammer is good weight for work. Tapping block works well, but a little small. Pull bar bends to unusable by end of job, I did my living room, dining room, kitchen, utility room and a hall. Wedges are worthless, buy a different kind.

Does what it says

We’ve used these in the installation of our new bamboo flooring and the only things that I can not be happy about are a) be good if the notches on the block were deeper and b) the hammer did not leave black streaks when doing a glancing blow to “encourage “ a board to move sideways. Overall OK and worth the cost.

Tapping block is not so good, but the rest of the items work well

Overall, good products. However, the tapping block handle broke off after about 400 sq ft of flooring. It is a plastic block and handle. Kind of disappointing, as now I have to get a new one. Spacers are great. The lock together to hold in place. Pull bar and mallet do the job as required.

Does the job

Used this tool set along with a tapping block to lay down interlocking vinyl tile in my basement. This did the job. I had to purchase different spaces as the ones included werent useful. Great value for money!

good for laminate flooring. not useful for vinyl flooring. only used spacers, “hook”, and rubber mallet

Not very sturdy

Although this worked for the job. The metal bar that you hit with the mallet is not very strong. I did one room and was worried the piece was about to break. Even using a rubber mallet the end you hit kept bending out of shape and I had to keep pounding back into shape to use. Pretty weak. The other pieces seemed to work fine.
