Big Step Up
Weeks after installation, I'm still in awe of how much of an improvement this faucet set is over our old one, which to be fair, was about twenty years old. This model's handles move easily and the water squirter (I'm sure there's a real term for this item, but you all probably know what I mean) has actual pressure and shoots out a real stream of water. Functionality aside, it's pretty, too.

Faulty valve between faucet and sprayer
I paid a plumber to install this new Kingston Brass faucet set in March 2020. I then discovered that water flows from the faucet perhaps 50% of the time you turn the handle. A faulty valve (?) sends the water to the sprayer instead. I tried to live with it - I used the sprayer to fill pots for cooking, to water plants, etc., when the faucet could not supply water. However, it's difficult to wash one's hands using the sprayer, because you have to hold the sprayer with one of your hands. The cold handle and the sprayer head holder both became disconnected under the sink, multiple times, so they would lift completely off the sink. I had to crawl on my back in the cupboard under the sink and reattach them. This lift-off defect could have been related to the initial installation, but if a plumber can't install this correctly, who can? The plumber commented that installation of this Kingston Brass set was unusually difficult. The constant water pressure in the sprayer hose eventually caused the hose to burst - inside the cupboard under the sink, of course. The attached photo shows the faucet set after less than three years of use. Do not buy this Kingston Brass set unless you want daily frustration and like to waste your money.

Well built faucet
This is the first real expensive faucet I have bought($200). New kitchen, so I thought I would go with something really nice. I have purchased faucets out of Home Depot and Lowes for around $170. They are nice but still seem a little flimsy. This is solid as a rock. It weights nearly 10 lbs. Very heavy, well built. The sprayer alone weight more than the old faucet. Do not get me wrong, this weight is because there is no plastic or cheap metal. The brass fittings are heavy and solid. After hooking it up, not a single connection leaked. I had to remove the aereator to put my dishwasher connector on. I went to the hardware store with the aereator and the plumbing specialist could not believe the craftsmanship of the aerator. So you can guess what the rest of the sink is like. The satin finish is really nice. I have it mounted on a black granite composite sink. The satin nickel finish is so much softer than chrome. Looks great. I am just a regular Hubby that works around the house, I was totally impressed with the faucet. I would definitely recommend. One thing, the box will say Kingston Brass instead of Elements of Design. Apparently same company.

Safety Feature I found.....
Love the look of the faucet - but the sprayer has a BIG PROBLEM. I was spraying hot water and the metal piece where you hand goes got VERY HOT - the inside of my hand was really red before I could cut the water off and stop the spray. Not sure what, if anything, can be done with that, but I've never had that problem before with any other sprayer. But....please be careful. It cost almost $400 to have a plumber install it - because it's pretty complicated, he said....but it looks pretty!

Not impressed
I have had this product about 1 1/2 years. I don't mind that the finish has worn off the back of one of the handles, or that the same handle had to be replaced because it was stripped, I don't even mind that much that the aerator now has to be replaced. I don't even mind that the aerator is $10. What I mind is the $11 shipping charge for an item that weighs 1.5 ounces. I'm done with Kingston Brass.

Only Operated Properly for 2 Weeks
Product survived after installation 2 weeks. Diverted failed and had to call the manufacturer and get them to send a replacement. As of this moment it is a week past when they said they would send the replacement diverter and none has arrived yet. Interesting the whole purchase was about $150.00 and to call my plumber back and have him repair a new faucet will almost equal that. Thanks a lot Kingston

Superb quality…don’t waste your money on the competition
I’ve normally used Delta and Moen from Lowes and find them to have a limited lifespan. Opening the box and handling the parts from Kingston Brass is eye opening. There isn’t a plastic piece I could find and each component is heavy, including the faucet sprayer. My second experience with Kingston and I’m a lifetime customer. (My plumber uses them in his own home). Enough said.

Looks nice - weird aerator.
Looks nice but aerator is very weird. The opening is extremely small and does not let a lot of water through.
