BBQ flexible scewers

I ordered these for my grandson- they are great for stringing beads (those little shoestring ends just aren’t long enough. I bought some originally for my PPCD class. They worked great! It allowed my students to access materials.

Great product with one major problem

Quick summary: These are great flexible skewers EXCEPT the "skewer" end is blunt (rounded) - NOT pointed. They are annoyingly difficult to push through anything hard or uneven texture (where blunt point follows the soft layer). We got the idea for the flexible skewer from our son-in-law who is true BBQ and smoker master. We should have asked him advice on brand, but these appear to be sturdy, relatively easy to clean, and nice and long. The only major downside is, as noted, the blunt ends. I fixed it with a superfine (water cooled) grinder, and now they are awesome (well, after only one use). Having to modify them was a real annoyance. Without a grinder, the rating would probably have been 1-star.

Better purchase bamboo skewer

Meat is hard to get on the skewer, the 'pin' is not sharp at all, and with high potential to hurt yourself.

Game changer!

Love these skewers! Saw them on a food network tv show and purchased a set for home. Holds meat and seafood securely and there is less slippage. Can cook twice the meat/veg at one time. Recommend to all.

Perfect with Weber GoAnywhere Grill

I was looking for shish kebab skewers for my Weber GoAnywhere charcoal grill. I tried weber's own skewers and cuisine's. They were short. These skewers fit my grill perfectly. I was concerned that these skewers may get very hot and bought fingertip holders. I was able to rotate the skewers with my bare hands and they weren't burning hot. So, I think, I could use them without any holders. Maybe it depends how heat-tolerant you are. The look is ok. They don't feel super durable. By the way, today, I'm ordering three more sets.

Expansive

Very expansive. Quality is not as good as the amount charged. Just ok quality but very expansive. Not going to buy more for sure.

Effective Design...

Not only do these look good but they work exactly as they should. Put your meats and veggies on and 'poof' no more food spinning round and round. Seem to be constructed well and are quite long so you can really load them up! Recommend these guys!

Totally useless product

Totally useless. First, the skewers themselves are made of steel cable. Leaving the question of how safe it is (I would suggest to clean it very carefully and season it in a hot grill at least), they are simply impractical. They cannot keep the shape.Try moving this skewer around Kamado and you will understand what I mean. Next, the tip of the skewer. It is thicker than the cable itself, so when you put the meat on it, the piece of meat ends up being quite lose on the skewer itself. And when it is cooked, it is the opposite - it becomes very hard to get it off.

Best skewers yet!

Totally love this and wasn’t sure I would. You can fit a ton of meat on them then easily throw into a ziplock bag since they bend for easy marinating. Easily fit on bbq as you could twist it around other food on the grill
