Favorite coat
Purchased to wear for a football game early January. Great weight and long enough to cover my bottom. My 2nd Columbia coat and still swear by this brand

Warmer than expected
This was a lot warmer than I expected it to be. The arm cuffs are a little annoying especially if you're wearing long sleeves. Overall, I really like this product!

Great option for one who doesn't do well in the cold/wind
I bought this jacket to use when I need cold/wind/water protection. My husband is a high school baseball coach, so we're outside in the worst of Feb/Mar/Apr weather, and I seem to always get cold no matter how many layers I use. Once it arrived, I tested the jacket out in below 50 degree, windy weather while riding a 4-wheeler. I only had on a thin longsleeve shirt underneath. I was super warm and never felt any wind. On the other hand, my sweater style, more expensive name brand jacket let all the air breeze through. I was pleased with the price for this item considering the quality, and I think it will become a regular in my jacket rotation. I may buy another in a different color in the future because it's so comfy. To those who have said it's noisy - it's not as noisy as a true rain jacket. The only jacket style in this warmth category that is quieter is the more expensive name brand soft shell material (my husband has that jacket), but I cannot find a comparable style to this (super fuzzy warm fleece lining) in that brand. Sizing - see photos for measurements on size small. Roughly 19" wide at chest, 26" long from top of zipper (in front, back is slightly longer), and roughly 23" from sleeve seam to end of cuff. I'm 5'6" and 118 lbs, and the small fit just like I wanted. I could put a sweatshirt under it if desired. Sometimes sleeves are too short because my arms are long for my body size, but these go all the way to the base of my hands, even when riding powersports equipment when my arms are stretched out to the handlebars.

Buy it, such a great jacket for So Cal “winters”
I was on the fence about buying a jacket I couldn’t try on first, but I felt confident in Amazon’s exchange policy so I went for it. This jacket is a great color. It’s fur is my favorite a deep light purple! It’s a bit warmer than I expected. As a Southern California resident I thought it would be lighter, but it’s actually super warm. Honestly it’s about as heavy as you need in So Cal. I took it to a Vegas in the coldest months and it was perfect. I would say Vegas got down to mid 40’s with wind gusts at the coolest when I wore it. It’s light enough that it’s easily packable, but warm enough to do the job. I honestly wish it had inside pockets but understand that’s difficult with fur. I can’t think of anything I don’t love about my jacket. I ordered an xxl, and it’s big. I could have worn a xl, but it’s ok, I needed it fast, so I decided to keep the xxl and have a jacket. I usually wear a regular large in women’s tops, but I know Columbia run small in general and that this jacket being a windbreaker would likely have little stretch to it. Overall, I would say possibly size up one size not 2 like I did.

Kruser Ridge and Kruser Ridge PLUSH are different jackets!
This jacket has a wonderfully soft PLUSH inside! It feels so comfy when you put it on! It fits as expected. Be sure to understand that Kruser Ridge and the Kruser Ridge PLUSH are NOT THE SAME jacket! The Kruser Ridge PLUSH is much puffier and has a softer, lighter duty finish fabric on the outside of the jacket. It does seem to have a little fluffier feel and may be a little warmer. It is fuzzy inside the sleeves as well. It may be a little bit of a challenge to put your arm into the fuzzy sleeve if you are wearing a fuzzy sleeve shirt.... The Kruser Ridge is a true soft shell. It has a stronger fabric on the outside, a thinner lining and has much "cleaner lines" in how it fits. I bought both in the same generous size and both feel like they fit nicely, but I like how the Kruser Ridge looks much better! It looks much slimmer.

Exactly what I was looking for
Since purchasing the Kruser Ridge II Plush softshell jacket, I have tested it in various temperatures. This jacket when combined with a baselayer, shirt and fleece (light weight) kept me toasty at 23 degrees F. It did a great job of blocking the wind. The jacket fit perfectly. It is extremely soft on the inside, the pockets are deep enough to hold my phone and my hand in the same pocket and when wearing the hood with the jacket zipped all the way there is extra material that protects your chin area from the cold (this was a pleasant surprise). When wearing just a shirt and hoodie this jacket kept me toasty at 34 degrees F. By the mid 40's this jacket keeps me warm when wearing just a shirt under it. I hope this review is helpful.

Love this!!!
I love this so much!!!! The inside is sooooo soft! It keeps me so warm. It’s snuggly and comfy and not too bulky. Given it’s weight I’ve been happily surprised with how well it keeps me warm and breaks the wind. I’d buy another one if something happened to this one and have already recommended it to a few friends. Great purchase.

Returned
Arrived not as expected. It doesn’t look like a genuine Columbia product. It smells like it’s been used too. No proper packaging and tagging. Returned

Tolle Jacke
Die Jacke ist toll, habe lange nach einer kuschelig gefütterteten Softshelljacke gesucht und hier gefunden.
