Waterproof light jacket

I got a great price on the dark gray color ($35) - the jacket normally sells for about twice that. The jacket has is comfortable, waterproof, and is warm enough to be worn for mild rain storms. Most windbreakers aren't really waterproof, so this is a nice jacket to wear in the rain. I got it just in time for the California storms this year, and it's done it's job. Highly recommended.

It Works

I have bought several of these jackets over the years and they work well in keeping you dry. The water repellency will wear off in 3 or 4 years, depending on usage, which is OK in my opinion. You will sweat some if you wear it an hour or longer in very warm weather. Wear characteristics are good overall.

5'9 175 lb fits about right, waterproof

Works great for a rain jacket, ran some tap water over the sleeve when I first got it and the water beaded perfectly off, the jacket was totally dry and was able to pack it right away. Fits well. Length wise a bit longer than most jackets but that's to be expected as it's designed to keep the torso dry. Has the ability to pack into a pouch by inverting the jacket pocket so you can carry it around easily as a pouch- the problem here is that it still takes up a decent size (imagine like two box of pop-tarts stacked) and the jacket will be very wrinkly when you pull it out if you choose to store it in this way. As far as breathable - Columbia sells a higher end model rain jacket (evapouration) that is known for breathability - this model is like the cheaper one and despite lots of vents on the barrier inside there still is a lot of heat trapping - this is just a natural inevitability of "real" rainproof gear. To be honest, would probably feel like running with a hot trash bag if you wanted to run or do strenuous activity. With actual rain and casual walking though, this isn't a problem because the rain kind of carries the heat off while still keeping you dry. Not something you'd want to wear if it isn't raining though in my opinion. Otherwise checks off all the boxes- it's stylish, relatively well-priced, and provides good waterproofing for those doing a casual trails or traveling to a new city and want some water protection without needing an umbrella. Would recommend.

Breathable Yet Waterproof; Recommended for Guys Who Overheat in Rain Jackets

I would recommend this jacket for anyone who tends to sweat and overheat in rain jackets but still doesn't want to get wet in the rain. Great Aspects: I overheat easily, especially with jackets that trap heat. This jacket does a great job of keeping me at a good temperature and wicking away moisture. It is also incredibly waterproof. I've got caught in five downpours so far, and water has yet to seep through the jacket. The hood is also a pretty good fit, and the jacket can be folded up in a nice compact package into the left pocket (great for travel). It's not on the cutting edge of fashion, but it looks decent. This will also keep you warm if the temperature it's around 48+ Fahrenheit, but it's not meant to be a winter coat. Drawbacks: There are only two medium exterior pockets (one on each side) and no interior pockets. The hood cannot detached or hidden. The Velcro tabs help seal the zipper seam, but can also be a bit annoying. Fit: It's a comfortable slightly loose fit for its size. I'm size 38 (US) for men's suits and the medium size of this jacket fits well, but with some give in the sleeves and shoulders...enough that I can swing my arms without restriction. This will not, however, show off the toned definition of your body if you're into that sort of thing (and have a toned body to show off...which I do not).

Love it!

Love my new raincoat. A great buy for just the type of rain jacket that I had been looking for. Only reason I did not give it a 5 star was because I had to return the first one ordered as they tend to run a bit on the large side. 9 out of ten times I wear a medium for this type of outerwear, however, the medium size turned out to be a little too big, specially the length of the arms. I went ahead and returned the medium and ordered and ordered a small one which fits perfect! I also got a chance to change the color from the bland ash gray to the navy blue. Received it the next day on which we happened to have two downpours. I purposely got out in the rain to test it and was extremely pleased with how it kept me dry and comfortable. Truly a waterproof rain jacket!!

Great breathable rain/light jacket

Just got this jacket and in my opinion, got a great deal with the price break. It actually IS as advertised; it's very breathable and I love it. I haven't worn it in rain yet, but so far, it's a stellar light jacket to wear in warmer weather that would be too hot to wear a normal coat (low 50s and up). I can see that i'll use this a lot hiking/camping. That being said, the only reason I took off 1 star is due to the length. I'm a fairly normal/thin figure, but normally wear about a 32-34 pant size (not exactly sure of my waist size) and i'm about 5'8", so I got a medium as I could see a small being too small in the waist. Everything fits great but the overall length is just a tad longer than i'd expect for my height; but, it's not a major set-back at all as i'm somewhat used to shirts fitting longer.

The best rain jacket period!

This is the rain jacket that really does keep you dry, no matter how hard it is raining. When I am going building to building for my business meetings and need to keep by dress shirt dry and looking good, I can depend on this jacket. Not only that, it breaths so I am not pitting out my shirt from the inside on those hot sticky summer day rains. You can stop researching, I already did that for you. This is the one to buy.

Calidad Columbia

Para los que dicen que es imitacion, nada que ver, es un producto Columbia genuino, si buscas exactamente este modelo en la pagina de Columbia en el color gris, es el mismo que se oferta aqui, mismos detalles, y lo digo yo que soy certificador de cheques falsos, que se de copias. si fuera copia ademas no pudiera soporta la lluvia y que lo hace de maravilla a pesar de ser material ligero.

A mi esposo le encantó, es original, muy buen color y muy práctica y eficiente, ya la probó en lluvia y sin filtraciones de agua, el velcro en las mangas aumenta la eficiencia del impermeable.

Es barato y básico porq tiene solo dos bolsillos. En cuanto a la impermeabilidad me puse debajo de la ducha y el agua rebota totalmente. Falta probarlo en una caminata de horas bajo la lluvia
