Lovely easy but the thread broke often.

This was an anniversary gift for my daughter. It was easy and complete but the thread kept breaking. It took time and was bothersome.

Looks great

This sampler worked up quickly and looks great. We are doing an Early American decor in our sitting room and this goes perfectly. There was plenty of floss included in the kit. It was pretty tangled upon opening, but no problem to straighten out and get to work.

Kit is ok

The kit itself is ok, but it's just my personal preference, I guess. I got bored with the dull colors and the repetition of the pattern. Will be a long time till I finish it, only doing it now when I have nothing else to do. Not always enough floss to finish certain areas, had to dig in my own personal stash.

Really enjoyed this kit, has plenty of threads - not all of the same quality - but nonetheless I was sorry to finish it.

Great kit

I'm not understanding how people say the floss isn't labeled. They are threaded through a piece of numbered cardboard, with the colors and number chart for them printed on the paper. Read people. It's not rocket science. I like this kit. Very simple. The only complaint I have is that the thread is cheap quality, not dmc quality thread. There is plenty of it. I'd buy again.

a beautiful and simple design

This is a really simple but beautiful kit that would fit into any rustic/cabin setting. It's a lot bigger than I expected. The design, while simple (all cross-stitch with minimal backstitch) still allows for a lot of texture and interest (check out how the word "blessed" undulates). The colours on the picture are quite true to reality except that the dark reddish colour (hearts, etc.) is more of a very dark burnt orange (which is more to my liking). The kit was missing a skein of floss, so I contacted Janlynn directly very late on a Wednesday night. They responded first thing Thursday morning asking for kit number (I had just given the name of it). Not more than five minutes later, I got confirmation that they would be sending out the missing floss.

Colors not accurate

Have made other kits from this designer but this is first time colors are not close to illustration. Two different dye lots used as well on brown for house. Not happy with all the wasted time.

Classic sampler, nice kit

These classic samplers aren't as easy to find, so glad to have another source option. Complete kit, good size.
