About this pretty fixture made in China...review updated

The pair of these brushed nickel pendants arrived recently and are not yet installed. I had planned to use a pair of wall pendants over my kitchen sink, but discovered that the thick header above the window would not allow such a location. The electrician suggested the ceiling as a realistic alternate site. My review is based on the appearance of the pendants and not on their operation. The pendants are not heavy, although they are sturdy. They coordinate well with the pair of adjustable BN (expensive) wall sconces on the other side of our new kitchen. Of course, nothing is yet installed, since the remodel is not that far along. ***OMIT THIS PARAGRAPH, IT IS INACCURATE. I FOUND THE DOWN RODS BENEATH A LAYER OF CARDBOARD IN BOTTOM OF BOX. I OPENED SECOND BOX AND THOSE RODS WERE ON TOP OF A LAYER OF CARDBOARD, SO I CHECKED THE FIRST BOX AND FOUND THEM. Each fixture had 3 sections of down rods to use or not according to ceiling height. In my case, it will take two sections out of the three available. I think the fixtures would be lovely with up to 9 foot ceilings. It is a hardwired light, to be turned on/off by a switch. In my case, it will include a dimmer feature. The socket size is A-19 and the limit is for 100 watts. I inserted a ball-shaped LED lightbulb rated 60 watts, and it has a small bit of the bulb exposed beneath the edge of the shade--but not enough to create a problem. I would not assume to use a 100 watt incandescent bulb with this fixture due to the heat generated. There is a fire hazard label attached to the ceramic parts of the fixture. The fixture could be used on a slanted ceiling because the ceiling canopy has a ball joint which can adjust to different angles. The picture of the suspended fixture is a true representation of the light,, but does not show the ceiling plate. It is simple, round, and fairly elegant. Altogether the fixture promises to enhance my newly remodeled kitchen.

Great lights, love them

Great lights, love them. We get lots of compliments. Only complaint is that you do t have enough options on hanging length. All in 18" segments.

very high quality

This light fixture looks very expensive but was not. The quality is amazingly good. It looks wonderful over my stainless steel farm sink. I'm not a fan of metal but this light fixture is truly beautiful. The shape of the lamp shade really funnels a lot of light to the area below it. It is perfect for areas that need intense lighting but would also be good with a lesser wattage bulb for more mellow lighting.

Dim. Turns off often due to overheating easily.

Dim light. The unit shuts off from overheating unless you use a low power light. Very disappointed but it was so hard to install, (not the fixture's fault - just hard to hang any light in the area I'm using it in), that I'm probably going to just live with it.

Good light, Good looks, Straightforward install

Bought 2 of these pendant lights for over island. We have 9' ceilings, and these lights fit nice using all 3 rods. The brushed finish matches stainless appliances. Installs pretty easily, because the heavier globe is detached until after install. Small LED 65watt replacement bulbs fit perfect. (Buy at Costco for about $7 for 2.) LED works well with dimmer.

exactly what I was looking for! They are very expensive looking. they are simple since which makes everything else stick out, which i"m happy with. I went and looked at hundreds of lights and finally found these and fell in love. It's nice how it swivels at the top so if someone bonks their head, it doesn't hurt and swings out a little bit, so it doesn't damage person or the light!

Swings!

Looove this product. bought two of these for the breakfast bar. The best part is the swivel right on the mount. My husband initially did not want a pole pendant light as he always feared that someone might hit the light with their head and ruin the newly installed ceiling. But with the swivel, we dont have to worry about that anymore:)
