Good quality

I just used one of the inserts to repair a thread in an aluminum intake manifold, worked fine. I've used Heli-Coil and OEM TOOLS brands in the past, these work just as good. I'd definitely use them again.

Worked like a charm!

The insert worked perfectly for my M6x1.00 bolt. I used this for my car’s valve cover after I accidentally stripped the threads. Plus, it came two days early than expected, so that was great! The kit has everything I needed to do the job. Easy five stars.

Good for casted aluminum

It worked well on a casted aluminum carburetor. The machinr work looks done well on all the parts. My impression of the materials used (light weight) I would not recommend it for steel.

Worked Perfect on my Old Snowblower

This thread repair kit worked perfectly. Purchased it to repair threads on an old snowblower. Used a drill to drill out the old threads and also used the same Ryobi drill to put the new threads in. Repaired bolt holes for my electric start motor and threads that hold the shifting lever in the right gear.

Helicoil works as advertised

Repaired a stripped hole on the car intake manifold. Hole was too large for the original fastener. The helicoil worked and now the original fastener re-used. Holding power seems terrific.

Worked easily

Had a bolt broken off in the block of my snowblower which mounted the starter. These solved the problem and the starter is now firmly reaffixed to the block.

Rather poor quality

I’m wondering if replacement taps are available? I never even cut threads after using the drill bit provided before the tap broke.!! Rather disappointing.????
