bottom ring normally fastened to tray broken off. no packing

use to feed birds seed tower or added a bird feeder in center. bottom normally i have an older one from this year. catches seeds. this one is broken off loose. tray only Ring broken completely off.

UPDATE for Heath Outdoor Shelter Bay

There should be holes in the base tray to let rain water out. Seeds that drop in the base can get moldy due to water retention. During the next refill I will drill them and put some paint in them to prevent rust. Moldy seeds are bad for most birds.

Well built feeder

We bought this kind of feeder 5 yrs ago and it's still is holding up well. So we decided to buy another one for out cabin.
