High-quality, strong leash that's very lightweight

We bought this leash to go with the matching collar (Hamilton Adjustable Easy-On Step-In Style Dog Harness, 3/4-Inch by 20-30-Inch, Medium, Lime Green ) and harness (Hamilton Double Thick Nylon Deluxe Dog Collar, 1-Inch by 22-Inch, Lime Green ). We got one purple and one lime. (Note to Hamilton: The reason I keep putting the links to the other products in my reviews of them is because you don't have them in your product descriptions in case someone wants all three, nor do you have a package deal of any kind to make it easy and it took me almost an hour to track all three down for two dogs and verify I had the right products, especially since I had to order one from another seller... just a little tip that it's not aggressive sales tactics if it's there to help customers). The colors match exactly to the other products and the leash is very strong despite being lightweight. Our dogs are strong pullers and the weakest point in that equation is obviously where the leash connects to the harness (the harness controls the dog better because it gives you more leverage without fear of choking or damaging their windpipe, but it gives them more leverage too). There have been several times, especially at first (they're better about not pulling with the harnesses) when I was convinced the poor metal clip or the stitching holding it on couldn't take anymore and was surely going to snap, but it hasn't. My one complaint (and it's not that huge, really) is that the slick nylon does hurt your hands a bit more than leashes I've used made of less slick material, but only when they pull and you have to tighten your grip. But the less slick leashes of the same thickness were also really heavy and sag when the leash isn't taut (which is most of the time... they only pull when they're trying to go somewhere they aren't supposed to). That sag was making it much easier for their front legs or necks to get caught up if I looked away for a second and seemed to bother the dogs if they turned in that direction. The lighter-weight nylon does make it easier for me to just lift it over their heads or for them to skirt under it. Neither the slick nylon's burn or the heavy leash's sag is really a giant obstacle, but I do prefer the lighter weight myself. It should probably go without saying that you should keep the leash put away and keep an eye on them when using it. Our smaller dog (who's still about 40 pounds) chewed straight through the first one we bought in about 30 seconds because we weren't paying attention (she also chewed through a toy made of ballistic nylon, which this leash is not, in about five or 10 minutes, though).

Great

This leash is perfect for an almost 6-month-old, 53lb Bernese Moutain Dog. It has come in very handy for walks since we are still in the training phase. I hold a short leash with my left hand and then the loop at the other end with my right. Since we are working on having him walk on our left side with a short lead, there was a lot of slack with the 6' leash that brushed up against my shins/ankles while we walked (I'm 5' 6"). This was not ideal if he suddenly ran in front of me or pulled/jumped in another direction (created a tripping hazard). It may not seem like a big deal, but this 4' leash is great. It leaves enough space if we want to let him walk on a loose leash, but doesn't leave a lot of slack for me to trip on if he jerks in front of me suddenly. I'm able to grip the leash without it sliding if he pulls and it seems to be very sturdily built. I will buy this brand again.

Very sturdy and dependable

This leash doesn't stretch, which is great when walking a big dog. It's very sturdy & durable. I have washed them several times and they come out looking as good as new and just as strong as the first day. We use this brand for our Bernese Mountain dog, our pittie, and our Australian cattle dog. The leashes have good strong hooks/clasps that don't get shaken off like other brands can.

Nice leash

It is a great leash. The color is good just what I was wanting. I got the matching harness for the boys as well. The leash is 1” wide a bit of over kill for my terrier and min pin but will do the trick. I love the longer length.

Strong and Sturdy

Webbing is strong, nice to clip on with one hand, washable. Dependable for going on a walkie, that along with a Halty with our dog that courses back & forth, she is very strong. She is also color co-ordinated with a collar to match when street walking. But when hunting a camo collar! Functionality first!

Strong

Still working great though its no longer as bright, which go figure its been about five and half years. Its also a little shorter. This is because every time it knots its almost impossible to get it untied unless you do it as soon as you see it. I choose to believe this is what makes it so strong. I use it to get my Akita (about 60lbs) and my Lab/Saint Bernard cross (115+ lbs) to the vet. Works pretty well when i need to use it make a make shift harness. Would definitely buy again.

Great leash, but frays fast

I LOVE this leash. I bought it for my 5 1/2 year old borador (lab border collie mix) and she pulls a lot because of her high prey drive, but her leash is still in great condition. The clip works great and the leash is very durable. My one complaint is how it frays :(

Sturdy and Colorful Leash for a Great Price

I ordered this to go with a Halloween collar I bought for my 90 pound lab. I'm very happy with the purchase. The leash is fairly light but very sturdy. It is holding up well to his pulling. A great purchase for a great price.

Leash

This leash is nice width at 1". The nylon webbing fabric is strong....I like how seams are on outside and don't rub puppy's neck. Would have rated four stars except for high price and I am uncertain how secure the spring closure is. At times the rod does not lineup with other part of clasp. I hope this will improve with more opening and closing of the clasp as I don't want my puppy to pull off her leash. As a rescue dog she is still a runner!

Great colours and quality

We have 3 dogs. I got one a new leash from Petsmart because his broke. Then I looked at the other 2 and felt like they needed new ones to match the new bright clean one but I didn't like any of the other colours at Petsmart so I turned to Amazon. I wish I checked here first because they are cheaper and have better colours! I bought this leash in 2 colours and I love them.

We have owned this leash and collar for over a year now and it still looks like new. The color is VERY bright which I should have known from the picture but it's definitely more neon pink than hot pink, great for walking at night.
