Good replacement part

Original piece cracked after several years. Didn't want to purchase a costly new faucet just for this piece. Finish matched close enough. Super easy to replace.

An All-Plastic Receptacle Where You Rest The Sprayer On A Kitchen Sink

A "spray hose guide" is the receptacle on top of your kitchen sink where you put the sprayer when its not in use. The Perfect Match 89225 Brushed Nickle Kitchen Spray Hose Guide is an all-plastic version of this fitting. Even on kitchen faucet sets costing nearly a hundred dollars, it is common to find that the sprayer and the sprayer hose guide are plastic, so this product may not be inferior to what you are replacing. This product has a finish that looks like metal so it is satisfactory from a cosmetic point of view. It does not have any gasket to seal the flange to the surface of the sink. It would be best to use plumbers putty (available at hardware stores) to make a seal. The directions to other gasket-less spray hose guides say to do this. The directions to this product don't mention it. The water line to most sprayers does not disconnect from the sprayer head. To install this product, you'll probably have to disconnect the line from the faucet. Working under the sink can be tedious, especially if you have a garbage disposal in the way. The old sprayer hose guide on my sink broke because the lever handle on the faucet gently taps the head of the sprayer when one or the other is moved. The threaded section of the guide snapped off the top part. It lasted several years under this abuse. I expect the same from this product since it has a similar design. If you bang pots and pans against your kitchen sink plumbing or need a sprayer hose guide for a commercial kitchen, you should look for a more durable guide than this product. For the average home kitchen sink, the product is satisfactory. I rate this product as 3 stars to indicate that it is an average sprayer hose guide. I'd give it 4 stars if it had a gasket. Then it would be equivalent to the old guide that came with the faucet.

It should work - good quality

For my application the sink nozzle and hose are one piece, can't just unscrew and replace. To install this part the hose has to be disconnected at the main faucet. Part is good quality and am glad this universal piece was available so I wouldn't have to replace the entire faucet.

Sink/Sprayer base

It's coated plastic.

Don't let the photo fool you. This is just coated plastic. It's a good match to my stainless sink tough. Old plastic one broke after years of service so I'd expect this faux metal one to do the same. No complaints.

It is what it is: a plastic hose guide for your kitchen sprayer

This item is plastic, but it does its job. The hole is pretty small, so make sure you are getting the right size for your sprayer.

Good replacement

Maybe I should have rated higher. It did not fit as well as original Moen but it was very close. Other than slight difference in fit I cannot say anything bad.
