We used these every day. What does that say about us? That we are alcoholics? I should be worried but i'm not. That's a problem for future me. Anyhow we have fruit flies who come out of the woodwork whenever I pour wine, so we always use these to protect our stuff.

Nice weight and doubles as coasters.
They fit every glass and cup we have and they have a god weight that the wind won't blow them off of your glass so you can leave them unattended as a drink cover should allow you to do. They are a painted steel mesh that seems to be stainless steel. At least they aren't rusting easily yet. Definitely very nice to have for nights out around a fire pit or eating out at a cabin in the woods or on a lake where bugs like to come around. Doubling as a coaster is nice so they can still be used indoors or you can double up for small groups of less than 8 and use one as a coaster and another to cover a drink that will be sitting. Overall I like them and they aren't unreasonably priced for their quality and utility.

BRILLIANT Design As A BUG Protector! Sturdy!
Wow ~ One of those brilliant minds who solves a problem! My husband would set a napkin over his glass (INSIDE the house) to keep the little gnats out of his wine or beer. I got these for him for Father's Day and he was truly excited! We got another set for friends who entertain outdoors a lot in "wine country". These are sturdy - metal mesh - rimmed in metal and are a bit over 4" in diameter. The mesh allows your red wine to continue breathing (but not inhaling bugs) Perfect for indoors (we live in the country and boy...does a glass of red wine ever bring on the little gnats!) Our backyard is vulnerable to gusts of wind, so I wouldn't expect these to stay on during those times...but neither would the glass remain upright. For outdoors/protected from winds ~ these are perfect. All aren't perfectly level, but definitely level enough to stay on the glass rim. No concerns there. While they can also double as a coaster... I guess if that's needed, yep ~ they would. These also make a wonderful gift with a bottle of wine! Apparently, we weren't the only ones with this challenge! Applause to the inventor/designer of these.

Keeps fly bugs out of drinks outdoors.
Anyone who has battled gnats while enjoying a glass of wine on the patio, will appreciate these screens. If you drink your beer from a glass outdoors these are also the answer to the fly problem. They are large enough to cover average drinking glasses, at 4.25 inches diameter, they are well made and dishwasher safe. I have withheld 1 Star because I feel the current price is too high, at $19.56 for 8 or almost $2.50 each after tax.

Just what you need for a bee-free beverage on the deck
These drink covers look like window screen coasters but they are much weightier so they stay atop your glasses. These will definitely keep your drinks free of insects. I can’t wait until it gets warm outside again to put them to use outside. They are sturdy and the coating seems like it will be quite durable. This set of 8 drink covers falls into the category of things you didn’t know you needed but are happy to have found to make some annoying aspect of your life better!

Perfect for outdoor dining
These toppers are pretty cool! I like the idea but the toppers do feel a little flimsy. I did not like the packaging, looked as if they might have already been opened. If your family likes to eat outside like mine, these will be perfect for you. Aside from the sloppy packaging, the toppers are functional and cool.

Great for those with gnats and other bugs
This came up as an idea for someone here who has been having a lot of trouble with gnats in their house. It's an issue that they haven't been able to resolve yet and it has been bothering them for months. No matter what they do, they can't seem to determine where they are coming from or how to put an end to it. Meanwhile, they are having to constantly keep them away from their food and drinks while eating. These helped to protect those precious drinks at least. Preventing them from reaching the content inside the glass, allowing the user to walk away without having to worry about anything climbing in while they aren't looking. It's a simple product that goes a long way for those who need it.
