Great buy

Had to buy this light to replace an existing light fixture that was hanging too low on a chain. Needed something that I wouldn't hit my head on, had to match other existing fixtures already in the house and we wanted downward facing lights. Wasn't real convinced that it would be what we wanted, but after going through many, many pages of Amazon, this fit 3 categories of adjustable, color and downward facing fixtures. The only downsides were that it didn't come in a box from Amazon, so where ever it came from they just slapped the shipping label on it and sent it UPS. The other issue was that there wasn't any installation instructions. But since I have installed many fixtures, it was no problem for me but I could see how it could be a problem if it was the first time doing one. Looks great, easy to install once you just take the time and figure out what you want to do. If you are not using it to it's full extent on length, just cut the wires and get rid of whatever you don't use. It has really opened up the space, provided great lighting even with 60W bulbs, and looks great.

The light looks and works great. As many have suggested, if you only need one or two sections of the drop pole, it will take work! If you're not a DIY'er, you may not want to buy it. It can be done though, but you need to separate the wire from the ceiling fixture and remove the section(s), cut the wire down, re-strip the ends, and reassemble before installing. Not impossible, but a lot more work than you'd think.

Beautiful chandelier

I was very happy to see this chandelier become available, as I had already been installing the single ceiling lamps everywhere. They advertise the vintage style bulbs, but I'm using smart LED's throughout the house. I have a tall entryway, but not giant, so I was only able to use the shortest down rod of the three provided (all different lengths). It seems like you can use all or just one as well as the top plate to meet your needs. It's very easy to mis-judge the height of it due to the glass enclosures also being tall. My only critique were the instructions lack ample verbiage, it felt like assembling Legos because the single page was all imagery. With that said, it's not overly complicated so you should be able to figure it out after looking at it for a minute.

Nice Looking Light

I was hesitant to purchase this light fixture after reading some of the reviews. My husband had no trouble installing it and it looks great. The only negative thing is that I used 60 watt bulbs and it is a bit too much light. That is easily remedied, though. I am happy with this purchase.

Easily breaks, but looks great

This looks great in our house. Unfortunately, the day after we installed it, my hand grazed against it with my wedding ring when putting a sweatshirt on and the glass broke way too easily, causing injury and also a slightly off-looking light. We still like it, this was cheaper by a few dollars than when we saw it on Home Depot with way quicker delivery. Just minus one star for how easily it broke.

Beautiful and great lighting

I looked and looked for the perfect black and gold kitchen light and this was exactly what I wanted. The matte black and muted antique gold/brass finish is beautiful. Clear glass with downlighting was a must-have for us and the 5 bulbs give off great light. This fixture is dimmable and looks best with clear bulbs. Would highly recommend this light!

Product Came Broken - No Support from Company

The glass globes for this product came chipped and one was fully broken. I reached out to the company based on the procedure laid out by Amazon and have had no reply. Unfortunately, we were doing a large renovation and I purchased this product in February but it was only opened recently by the electricians to install the product, which is why I can't just return the whole light, but rather need replacement parts. If someone has has success getting replacement parts from Globe Electric, I would appreciate any advice on how to proceed.
