Ordering These Gloves Is Like Picking From A Box Of Chocolates--You Never Know What You're Going To Get
Based on the wildly inconsistent reviews, it appears that one of two things is happening. Either customers have received gloves that are a separate model from what is listed on the Amazon page, or the same model was produced at different manufacturers because of varying prices. What I can tell you for sure is that the gloves I received are 5 star all the way! They are comfortable, the inside is nonslip, the outside genuine cowhide, and they have protected my hands much better than the typical cloth gloves I have bought in the past. So far I have used one pair for about one month. I have been trimming Brazilian Pepper trees and have fallen into the wetlands several times, avoided thorn wounds from different palm trees, deflected fire ant bites and a spider bite, and managed not to contract poison ivy. I have used them with various saws, hammers, machetes and shovels. And they still show no damage or wear-and-tear. I noticed the following differences when comparing the Amazon page to the actual gloves that I received: 1. The model number on the Amazon page is 6003. The gloves I received are 6103. 2. My gloves have a reinforced palm, a feature not shown on the Amazon page. 3. There is a black border around the bottom of the glove on the Amazon page, but not on the gloves I received. 4. The stitching on the side of the thumb is interior instead of exterior as shown on the picture. 5. The actual thumb on my glove was sewn quite robustly to the palm of the glove, totally different than the picture. In this case it appears that I received a much better constructed glove than pictured on the Amazon page. If other reviewers compare the gloves they received to those pictured on Amazon, my guess would be that they received what they paid for--and not the superior gloves delivered to me. I don't know how to rectify this but hopefully Amazon will pick it up from this review.

Nice Quality
These are nice quality gloves and I looked forward to using them. I was bummed when they didn't fit. The xl were more like a medium to large but no where near the xl that I wear in all my other leather work gloves.

My 'go to' gloves
I decided to take on my own landscaping project this summer including moving/arranging over 400 large belgian blocks by hand. The non-leather gloves I had been using were getting eaten alive by the belgian blocks. After wearing through two pair I looked around on amazon and bought these to try them out. I couldn't be happier. Despite being dragged against rough, porous blocks these gloves have not worn through at the fingertips like my other gloves. There's some wear marks - which is to be expected - but they still provide protection to my hands. When planting I had meant to change into my gardening gloves but these were so comfortable I left them on. These make great gardening gloves too. The seams are tight enough that no dirt travels into the glove through the seams. I also wore these while dragging old, splinterful 4x4's around and, again: these protect perfectly. Whether using hand saws, power saws, pruners, trimmers, lawn mower, chainsaw; or moving blocks, river rock, dirt, plants... These gloves are comfortable and effective. I'm impressed with the leather quality (soft yet strong and break in easily) and the manufacturing process (the tight seams I mentioned already). The one activity in particular I wouldn't use these for is precision work such as automotive. Although these gloves break in to your hand quickly they're still a little on the thick side.

Anyone can afford leather gloves.
I really like these gloves. They are priced right. I have been using these to process firewood, tear down barbed wire fence, clean rosebushes out of fence-rows, and other rough work. A briar or barb will not pass through the leather, so I can work confidently. They eventually wear out, but not any faster than expensive gloves. The fit is not perfect out of the bag, but it does not take long to break them in.

Top Notch Leather Gloves
Excellent leather work gloves. I have used these gloves intensively while gardening, and at work to carry cinder blocks and other building materials, and they have held up much longer than other work gloves I've purchased. They are a bit stiff at first, but will eventually become more flexible and form to your hands. I still have all 3 original pairs, although I did place another order for more. They are a great value for the price, and are just as tough, and rugged as your typical name brands. Great to have for the garden, great to have in a tool box, and great to have in your car for an emergency.

Best Leather Glove For The Price I've Tried (So Far)
I wear this type of glove almost every day for 5 months a year. These are by far the best VALUE gloves I've found yet. They just blow away the Big Box store versions in this price range. I really don't know what else to say, other than if you're not sure what size to order; order up. Are there better gloves out there - yes. Are there better gloves for this price - not that I've found - yet.

I was a little hesitant when I ordered these gloves because I didn't know what they would fit like or if they would get holes worn in the fingers after a few uses. Looking around at Mark's or HD, one pair of this style is almost what 3 pair are here so I figured even if they only last half as long, I am still ahead. I've been using them all summer doing yard work, cutting and stacking wood, building a deck and I am really impressed. They have stood up far better than I was expecting and no holes in the fingers yet. They fit well and are comfortable to wear all day I even ordered another set for stocking stuffers this Christmas.

5/6 gloves fit
The gloves that fit properly are quite comfortable and warm. There is one glove that is much smaller than the others and is unusable by me.

not as advertised....bait and switch.....portrayed as all leather.....product that was sent was half fabric with leather palms..definitely inferior to what was advertised....very displeased....product was returned for refund....will not reorder since cannot trust seller not to substitute
