Know the facts

Firstly, these are not real leather. To the touch they feel like your touching a rubber tire. These are PU (polyurethane). Secondly, these are not built for comfort. There is no sole or heel padding, or any interior padding inside. Your foot is laying on top of the rubber sole, that is covered by a piece of cloth. Lastly, if you need a cheap cosplay, prop, costume boot....these do nicely because of the low low price of $30. I wouldn't recommend wearing these all day. But if it just being used for a costume/cosplay...and wearing them for a 3-4 hours, these will do the trick.

Pleasantly Surprised

Having tried another brand previously I didn't expect much. But with the "try before you buy" option I figured "why not". If they were junk, I'd get quite a bit of enjoyment sending them back & writing a nasty review. First thing, I put my hand inside to feel the inside seams. They were all flat & smooth as they should be. Next, I put one on. Just like my issue boots, they fit well enough to not require going to the hospital while "breaking them in." I wear a 10-10.5 wide. Of course those weren't available so I ordered 11R. Once again, nothing to lose right? Nailed it! They fit perfect. I was issued the early Vietnam boots so the soles were different but the later style isn't a deal breaker. The only "flaw" I could find (and I tried really hard to find some.) was they weren't laced properly. They started out OK then somehow got messed up. A thirty second fix and all is well. I live on a ranch now so these will be put to the test. If they hold up a fraction as well as my original military boots, I'll stock up with several more pairs. So far, I'm very happy!

Runs a little small for me, good value

I bought these boots to be a "sacrificial" alternate for muddy hikes. Fit is important, I am normally a 13 1/2 Wide, which is not offered. After reading a few other reviews I decided to try the 14's (not wide). They are perfect for length, but a little snug. However I think that they should break in okay. I don't think I will have room for my preferred insoles, but since they are for intermittent use in my case that is okay. The Panama tread soles look pretty good and I think they should work well in mud. For the price, I am happy overall so far with the fit and the quality and function that I want.

Pretty good attempt at a classic

These seem nearly identical to the military surplus pair I had years ago. I haven’t yet had a chance to wear them in the wet and mud to see if they hold up to their intended use, but I plan to do so over the summer.

Pretty good

I ordered a 9 Wide and got a 9 regular, but the width didn't seem to be a problem. I should have gone with a 9.5 or 10. Anyway, for the price these can't be beat. I feel like the "leather" is a little suspect since it won't take polish well, and neetsfoot oil won't soak in, but again, for the price, they're not bad. Fairly comfortable but seems to run a tad small.

Love it but is too big-even when i got the black in a size nine

I wear a size 8.5 but they did not have half sizes. I ordered the size nine, but I did not realised it says W. I was very disappointed that I had to return it because it was already a half a size too big and it being wide was extra big. I tried a big winter sock on with it and it was still too big. I ordered the full black in the same style but size nine. I will still have to wear a thick sock but at least it will not be wide. This is very lovely combat boot but the sizes may pose a challenge. Update 16th DEC 2023. I got the black one in a regular nine and it is still too big. Also these seems to be men boots and not women but for the cost I am going to keep it and heavy sock it. If only they had an 8.5 size!!

good boot at this price

This is the 2nd pair I bought the 1st pair lasted 2 years working 40-50 hrs in a Injection molding shop. The soles on the fronts started coming away but pretty pleased good comfort I used a Dr. Scholl's WORK Massaging Gel Advanced Insoles // All-Day Shock Absorption and Cushioning for Hard Surfaces with these boots and was very pleased .The price has doubled but still wworth it to get two years out of them

Better than Rothco

These jungle boots are way better than the Rothko ones. They don't leave black streaks on the floor either like Rothco.

not your ordinary boot - quite hard to find

This is the old-style jungle boot from the Vietnam era with an excellent bold tread and softer sole. These fit well and have been very comfortable. The are excellent for rough and uneven terrain and they are excellent on ice as they have a better grip and softer sole which adheres much better than regular boots. Not designed for cold but they work better than anything else I have found. NOT water-proof.
