Adaptor is NOT NPT! (Designed to use with blow gun.)

The 1/8 male side of the adaptor is NOT NPT (National Pipe Taper); Instead it is NPS (National Pipe Straight). In other words, the adaptor fitting is not meant to thread into NPT female fitting. The adaptor IS designed to thread into the end of a blow gun for inflation. (see picture) I purchased this with the idea of connecting a low pressure gauge to the adaptor to read accurate ball pressure (I live in New England, and hear this is important, especially with footballs;). This adaptor is not ideal to connect to a pressure gauge for two reasons. The first stated above, the second is that the needle does not seal well to the adaptor. The needle thread is also straight and there is no O-ring. So, if you are just looking to inflate using a blow gun, this should work nicely. I subtracted 2 stars for inaccurate description of thread type, as that was important to me.
