Solved my bowl leakage problem

This was a replacement for a leaking Kohler flush valve that never fully seated. It immediately stopped the annoying leak that caused a refill cycling. It's also somewhat adjustable to the amount water used to flush. Recommended.

High Quality Ideal Universal Fit for SOME, but not all toilet tanks

I am a remodeling contractor. I only buy the exact toilet brand name parts when I can find out the name of the toilet I am repairing. Most of the time that is impossible so I rely on Fluidmaster for high quality toilet parts. If I was king, all the toilets in the world would use the same exact parts no mater what the brand. Alas, Fluidmaster saves the day, er a that is, Fluidmaster saves the water. This flush valve has a nice feature of an adjustable height overflow tube. This way you can adjust the fill valve to fill to the desired tank level to get a complete flush without wasting water.

Not really universal

This kit wasn’t really universal. The big gasket between the bowl and tank is way too thick. They tried by making the gasket a softer type rubber but it was impossible to get tight enough for the tank not to wobble. The bolts would’ve broke the porcelain before the gasket compressed enough so you better keep the old gasket. I used silicone grease on the old gasket then the kit worked perfectly. It solved the phantom flushing but if your gasket between the tank and bowl is leaking, I wouldn’t recommend this product.

This version has the extra spacer for the Gerber toilets

I had bought one of the other fluidmaster 'universal' kits but it did not come with the extra spacer needed for the Gerber toilets. This one had everything I needed. I did have one leak (one out of 3 installed) after removing the tank and retightening everything again, it cleared up. It may have been the tank to bowel gasket was not in the correct position the first time.

too expensive!

This did not fit my toilet tank, so I returned and I went to home depot to look for another kit, just to see this one there for about $26.
