Belt Has Heavy Chemical Smell

Wanted a nice jeans belt and this one was the right color, had a nice buckle and came in Big and Tall. Everything worked. When the belt arrived it was rolled tightly and packaged in plastic. I took the belt out and from that moment on the chemical smell was the biggest thing about this belt. I had to take it out of the house. I sprayed a smell neutralizer on the belt over 6 times and had it hanging in my garage. I got no where, the smell still exists and now my garage stinks. Nice belt mishandled during the tanning process and not allowed to "cure" before packing. I don't believe that this belt will ever stop smelling and have returned the belt.
