Long femur required - Great tall man chair!

I bought this chair for my husband who is 6'5" and he probably doesn't want me to share his weight - but let's say somewhere between 200-250 pounds. SEAT: The seat is deep and wide. He doesn't need the width so much, but he likes it okay. The depth - for him - is awesome. It's the first chair he's ever had where his upper leg rests completely on the seat. CAUTION: I'd say if you're any shorter than 6'2" or so, steer clear of this chair because you will NOT be able to sit back on the seat without your legs coming off the floor. I'm 5'3" and I feel like a little kid in his chair. The padding on the seat is VERY firm - as reviews of the similar chair mentioned. My husband believes it will break in. And, no doubt, the padding needs to be firm to be rated for 400 pounds. HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT: I opted for the stool model, rather than the chair, because the height adjustments were a better range for him. He's adjusted the legs on his desk as well, and now this stool sits about in the middle of the range and his feet sit comfortably on the floor. ARMRESTS: I'm a little disappointed in the armrests. They adjust, yes, but only up and down - no back and forth, or in and out. Not sure they're worth it. PACKAGING AND SETUP: The box arrived damaged and the parts were loose in the box. Thankfully, everything was accounted for and there was only some minor scuffing on the feet of the stool. The instructions were for the chair model - nothing in them about the stool setup. It appears there's not much difference between the chair and stool, though. It's just a slightly longer piston and the footrest. The footrest attaches to the piston by sliding it over a plastic sleeve that can be clamped in 3 different positions on the piston. Nothing in the instructions about that, but it wasn't too hard to figure out. Interestingly, the shorter chair piston also came in the box. Not sure that always happens, but it did for me. For the price, a good value. My husband says it's the first chair that has ever truly fit him, and that's what why we bought it.

arrived broken

Shipping box was broken and bashed up, adjustment knob with plastic knob broken bolt on the handle was bent and no replacement available I was able to locate a part that could be used, amazon offered a return and money back but the unit needed a new shipping box and very heavy so I kept it.

Dissatisfied and disappointed!

I purchased this item and the office chair from Flash Furniture. The office chair arrived missing arms and some of the screws needed to assemble. The drafting chair ordered turned out to be more like an office chair, that is, it was missing the foot rest. Further my attempts to reach the seller and Amazon, within the return period and through the return process or phoning (couldn't even find a number to dial), proved fruitless. I hope this review reaches the appropriate staff at Amazon and Flash Furniture, for resolution. I am dissatisfied and disappointed.

Could not be more disappointed. I read the reviews and thought if only ...

Received chair. Not what is advertised. The assembly instructions say its a model 715MG but not the WL-715MG-BK-AD-GG Hercules... that is advertised. No arms. Not a drafting stool. Just an office chair. Could not be more disappointed. I read the reviews and thought if only a few people complained most would get the right product and be fine.....big mistake. Now I need to see how I can get this thing back in the box to get it returned so I can buy a product from a seller that sends whats advertised.

HELP!!!!!

I ordered a drafting chair. The assembly instructions do not match the chair. It appears that the chair is either an OFFICE CHAIR or the instructions to put the DRAFTING STOOL together do not match the drafting stool. I challenge someone at your end to follow the instructions from one unit to follow the instructions to come up with another unit.

Arrived broken and missing parts.

Arrived damaged...

Arrived damaged in a container that had no structural integrity whatsoever. That all the parts were still inside was a miracle. Instructions were useless. The damage was mostly cosmetic as far as I can tell, so to avoid the hassle of returning this behemoth, we decided to let the broken plastic and scuffed parts go. As for the chair itself, we (not so affectionately) refer to it as "Jabba the chair". It is humongous and relatively uncomfortable. The chair does not seem to be centered on the post, giving it a slightly off-balance feeling. Still, it seems to be sturdy enough and is not a poor value. Not sure I would buy it again. Will update if things change.
