You can get creative w these. Note: countersink.

These things are great. Needed to find something rock solid for mounting a boxing speed bag platform through 3/4” maple planks while sitting flush against OSB prior to bolting the entire unit through studs w lags. These are so much better (and easier) than carriage bolts if you’re looking to make that perpendicular connection which needs a flush backing. NOTE: keep in mind there’s a very slightly angled flange on the underside, so you’ll need to sand a small area (I did a very non-pro/DIY-worthy job of this w Dremel+sanding cones and it still worked great) countersink and note the square; and make sure to account for the small, square shaped pieces which connects the bolt w the head and countersink for that. THESE ARE GLORIOUS WHEN YOU NEED EM!

Head is too big

Bolts are of great quality. However, heads are much too large for my use. Listing didnt state diameter, which would have helped in making the correct purchasing decision.

Stripped 3 of 10....bad threads or bad grade?

Had a couple of these 1/4" elevator bolts strip with very little torque. Using these bolts to secure a 3/4" plywood board to mounting brackets on the back of the boat for a swim deck (20"x78"..so not a full sheet) I'm building...wanted the flush surface given a mat is going to lay on top of the deck... Snugging up the first bolt, stripped...swap it out....stripped....third times the charm? Nope.....stripped... Not like I was using a torque wrench to put the nuts on but I can't imagine it was more than 40ft/lbs when these stripped. Super unfortunate cause I can't seem to find any stainless elevator bolts....hopefully the remainder of the ones I used will hold up through stress and use on and around water.

Disappointed.

Great elevator bolt but the head was too large. It would not fit on a hasp. Still looking for a flat head bolt but with smaller diameter and a half inch longer.
