Works well
I found this to be very easy to set up. The top has a ring that screws on to the reservoir, and a silicone bubble that fits on the ring like a seal on a mason jar - but with a soft, domed top. Once a little bit of shampoo has been added, you push on the silicone dome and it forces a little bit of shampoo out of a valve on the underside, in the center of the long, stalactite-like bristles. These bristles are relatively flexible on the tips, and very little so as you get closer to their root attachments. The bristles are quite long enough for a dog with a thick or long coat, and perhaps a little too long for a dog with a very sparse coat. But honestly, I don't think someone with such a sparse-coated dog is looking for this tool anyway, so really it's designed, and suited, for the heavier-coated dog. On that measure, I think it's a great tool. I think it would be better priced around $7.99. $13 just seems a little much for what it is. One star down for that. Elsewise, I think it's great.

Would probably help wash the right dog
This silicon dog scrubber brush with soap/shampoo reservoir was something I hadn’t come across before so I was keen to try it. It’s a thick spined silicon brush about 2.5” diameter with soft spines. It has a translucent plastic cylindrical compartment in the middle and a soft silicon bulbous cap. Mine came in a bright lime green color I liked. It’s a neat idea. Both the silicon brush end and the bulb end can be unscrewed for refilling or servicing. The idea is that you fill it with dog shampoo screw, the ends tight and squeeze the bulb on top while brushing your dog in a bath of water. Squeezing the bulb pushes liquid soap through a small hole in the center of the brush. It makes it easier to regulate distribution of the shampoo than just pouring it on their backs. The silicon bristles help spread the fur and massage the soap into it. It works quite well but is probably better suited to longer haired breeds than my three pugs. It’s probably a little on the large side and their fur is pretty short so it ends up easier to just massage it in with your hands. With larger and longer haired dogs I can see this being much more useful. I like that it is easy to take apart and although soap does seep out on its own, when you take it apart you will see there is a large silicon plate at the bottom with a hole in the middle that limits the flow so it doesn’t all flush out in one go. If you don’t use all the soap you do have to store it standing upside down and if you have a tiny bathroom, finding that somewhere can be tricky. Luckily with three pugs one fill up is good enough for all three of our little monsters at the same time. In my case it’s easier to wash my pugs with my hands. But with longer hair that’s hard to get good soap spread down into the roots of the dog’s coat I think this would be much more useful. So this is a good product for the right dog. It might have other uses. I can see it being useful for scrubbing an extra deep pile carpet like the one I used to have next to my bed. If I had this a few months ago, I might not have thrown the old rug away. So if you have a large and long-haired dog, you may want to consider this.

Half of it's no good
Nope. Don't like it. Problem is the thing leaks when not in use, so we'd have to empty it after every wash if we don't want a mess. Also, it only dispenses when right side up when washing the dog unless it's totally full. That is so awkward when trying to wash the dog's side or underbelly. The good thing is it does give the dog a good scrub down. I've never seen so much fur at the bottom of the shower. For future use, I'll just put the shampoo directly on my pup and just use the brush portion of this device.

A Good Idea, Could be Improved a Little
We use one of these for scrubbing and washing pots and pans and it works great with all the pros and cons of this product. It is great being able to apply the shampoo from the brush and get it distributed exactly where you are scrubbing when you need it. This brush seems to get the shampoo consistently spread through their fur better than running a strip of shampoo down their back and trying to get it to spread. That is fantastic. The scrubbing bristles are ok although it feels better to massage the shampoo in with your fingers. The biggest drawback with the brush is storage and leakage. The hole will drain the contents of the reservoir if you leave it bristles down or sideways. So you have to be careful with storage. All in all, it is ok, and we probably will keep using it to apply the shampoo, but the leaking has been a logistical issue. Even when trying to figure out where to set it down during the bath.

Une belle invention!
J'ai hâte de l'essayer la prochaine fois que je laverai mon chien. Fini les maux de dos et le gaspillage de shampooing!

Not right item
The item I received wasn’t a dexas product as advertised. Yet the paw wash cup I received from the shipper was as advertised?
